The (lack of) shotacon being brought up as a topic and this post reminded me of a YouTuber I first started observing from 2020, Kakki Creative Channel:

When I first observed him, he made rom-coms using Splatoon assets in Source Filmmaker, with quite suggestive thumbnails (a little suspicious, considering the appearance/age of the Splatoon Inklings/Octolings):
But as you may see from the more recent popular videos, he does art now. He dropped SFM sometime around late 2022, and now seems to exclusively do art/animations, though he didn't seem to drop the weird thumbnails:

On April 1, 2024, he uploaded a Pokémon-related YouTube short, where Iono (the girl, from Pokémon Scarlet and Violet) tries to flirt with the young-looking male game protagonist (Haruto, also from the same game). Unfortunately no, he would continue to make this style of Short of girls from the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet games flirting with the male protagonist for over 2 months, ending on June 12, 2024 (date of the last Short, the one with Iono in it in the right/second screenshot), along with his original content (which unsurprisingly got less views):
Gross, but that was almost over a year ago. To be fair, before a few days ago he hadn't done more content like this. However, on April 25, 2025, he recently did another Short where Iono goes after the same young-looking male protagonist, Haruto, and seeing this reminded me of this thread.
It also happens to include a scene at the end where Iono is implied to be arrested for choosing Haruto over the older male (choosing younger over handsome). Again, spoiler is here to save visual space, video isn't NSFW.
I wouldn't be surprised if part of the almost 2 million viewers who watched this video were self-inserting as Haruto. I kind of hope I'm just reaching, because Kakki's channel seems to be aimed at teenagers, with its focus on Nintendo content, yet some of the thumbnails/Shorts tend to emphasize the women's breasts. Not feeling optimistic for the future of young Nintendo fans if this is the fan content they can consume

R34 XXX bans the loli and shota tag and drawings that heavily lean into the really young appearance (however the fuck it can be described), but there's some other shit that slips through that could also be considered such. In general, the tag is inconsistently applied by boorufaggots in edge cases of characters bordering on looking more postpubescent and vise versa.
