He is clearly unhappy to get stopped, is not willing to provide ID, runs, resists and grabs the taser. He could have grabbed the gun instead in the scuffle.

This would imply at least some attempt at vehicle maintenance, having or learning practical skills, and trying to solve a problem by his self rather than simply disposing and buying new.

This would imply DIY ability, and an intent to provide play and stimulation for his children. Have you ever seen a trampoline or swing set or go-kart on that lawn? Has he ever talked about building a tree house or fort with the kids on that huge wooded acreage?
