Really it seems that the biggest issue is Congress, by the looks of this even if Trump does veto the bill they will still pass it anyways by overriding his veto, so it would depend on if the Supreme Court decides if its constitutional or not if they haven't decided yet, and they're most likely going to say that it is constitutional.

The Democrats also saw how wonderful this will be to censor "disinformation" and create a whole new body of case law around "disinformation". Right wingers fell for it again!

I want you to check the Senate vote if you want to laugh. I believe it got unanimous concent if I'm not mistaken. Even Trump likes it; he gets to take down his nudes too! He said so at the SoTU. The Dems made the perfect Trojan horse.

There is no constitutional exemption for speech you don't like. This should include people repeating private speech you performed, such as your nudes.

But there's no way in hell they don't cave because no one wants to tell a bunch of screaming unhinged females (but I repeat myself) that they should have to take responsibility for anything.

Today's Executive Orders:

Anti-Sanctuary Cities:
I can't speak legalese, but I'm guessing this EO renders sanctuary cities obstruction of justice and anybody caught defying ICE deportations would be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law? If so, I suspect a lot of governors/DAs/judges to go to jail, hopefully.

Hope you gooners downloaded all the fappening porn you wanted.

Could this fuck with porn sites in general? i imagine they're gonna get absolutely hammered with takedown requests by girls who regret being in videos. Even if they signed a consent form and contract i doubt they'll be able (or be willing) to fight the power of the government on it.
I refuse to jerk off to famous people. I would never give them the unknown satisfaction.

Ultimately we'll have to see how this bill gets implemented and how each state implements it. Everything that people are saying in this thread is going to happen once it gets passed has already been occurring with all of the DMCA claims that everyone from famous people to Corporations to all sorts of Lolcows have been abusing the DMCA to take down uploads of their content and that's with the non-sexual stuff alongside the sexual stuff.

Fappening.

Someone cracked Apple and stole a bunch of photos, including nudes of celebs.

This is equivalent to you storing your photo album at a coin operated locker somewhere, and someone stealing it and then sharing them around.

Would say, Hustler be nuked if they got a bunch of nudes sent to them from Madonna's personal photo album and posted them?

Would they be forced to destroy all copies of that issue AND contact every customer that bought a copy and demand they show evidence of it being destroyed? (TAKE IT DOWN 3.A.3.b mandates that websites do this.)

TAKE IT DOWN is a huge fucking problem for the internet. Ignoring the retarded AI provisions, the "you can't share pictures of me I don't want you to share" part is going to be a huge problem.

Random thought: Any TAKE IT DOWN requests should be handled like DMCA requests. Posted publicly, with the content re-hosted offshore as part of the takedown. "We have received your request to remove this photo from the internet. This copy is hosted in Siberia. We've removed the version hosted in the US. Get fucked."

Except 3.A.3.b pretty much explicitly prohibits this.

The age of gooning is over!

All the H-1B talk had me thinking back to Operation Paperclip and I got curious how many German scientists we even actually brought over here. The number was 1,600.

That got us ICBMs.

There are 85,000 H-1B visas granted every year. What are we getting for it?
I know five, and their work output times 17,000... Probably just shy of 9 million lost work hours of fixing their messes a year versus leaving the positions unfilled.

This is federal. The site gets the request. They will take it down or face FEDERAL prosecution. It's incredibly simple. That's why it's incredibly brutal like DCMA. Comply or fucking die.
