No our goal was to prevent the rise of communist nations, we wanted a UNIFIED democratic Korea and we almost hhad that until 1 million chinnese soldiers came pouring across the 38th parallel and the nuclear option was ignored, likely preventing worldwide nuclear war but alost preventing a winnable war from our end.
North Korea invaded. The US did not start that war. When the US pushed into the north, China came in and threw massive human waves at the Americans. At Chosin Reservoir alone, which the Chinese celebrate as one of their greatest military victories ever, the Chinese lost about half of their committed troops due to combat, camp illnesses, and cold conditions. The Marines literally used dead Chinese soldiers as cover because there were so many.

I’m privy to taking Amazon at their word given that reporting the tariff amount would reveal the purchase price they paid for the goods.

Would it? Aren't they free to jack up the for-sale price as much as they want?

are you retarded? did you miss the entire second half of my post where it showed that 80k yemenite soldiers are going to be invading Houthi territory?

i never advocated for american boots on the ground, there's already american aligned boots on the ground getting ready to fight
Not trying to get straight into ad hominems, my bad I started it. you are right about that and I am aware the republic of Yemen has postured to do something im just not very confident in their abilites, they have been fighting these groups for a long time, ive read about it a decent bit, the Gov in the north is just incompetent and dosent have very much broad popular support.

Rebel organizations like the Houthis dont just spring up out of nowhere, the reason they are so entrenched in the area they are is beacuse of how neglected the population has felt by the powers that be for a very VERY long time.

think ANA level of incompetence of Iraq conscript army when talking about the Republic of Yemen

Obviously I’m not talking about sound past the threshold of pain you fucking retards. I’m talking about damage from long-term exposure that doesn’t cause immediate pain.
No child, that's not what happens child. I got yelled at by a homeless druggy veteran once and now I'm 110% disabled, you know that because you're a stalker, child!

What does that even look like? Does a country go so bankrupt that it starts auctioning off entire provinces to the highest bidder? At what point is a country a failed state and can be incorporated into another foreign power?
I mean, you could do what France did and mass murder the organization that holds your debts with the help of the Pope. Friday the 13th has such an interesting history, and I advocate for it to happen again, but this time we can have federal agents wearing Jason Voorhees masks.

English is required for coms with ATC but that’s because it’s a standard, and that standard matters far more for Europe than Asia. In Asia, nearly all the planes going into an airport belong to that country. In Europe you have a billion carriers from various countries flying all over the place.

Pilots and crew can communicate in their native languages. It doesn’t affect safety. If you think it does, post some evidence.

English isn’t a particularly special language, it just became the standard because two very powerful countries at different points in history happened to use it. I’ve studied French, Japanese, and Chinese as well as dabbled in some other languages. I see no reason to find English better or poorer than any of the other languages, just different. After all, ‘Pull up’ is an incredibly simple sentence in all of these languages.
The bigger source of confusion to me is why civil aviation is still standardized on American/British measurements of knots (speed), feet (altitude), miles (distance), etc ever since 1950s.

I can understand knots, as it lines up nicely with nautical miles and latitude/longitude for long range navigation, but feet is more of a mystery to me.

Before 1950s, other countries used kilometers per hour and meters for speed and altitude.

hey, I hate that shit works as much as you do TRUST ME, but when you have a billion fuckers, human wave is kinda one of your most OP strategies

is it smart? is it even a good strategy period? is it even remotely sane? No to all 3

Did it force us into a stalemate long term? yes.

lets not sit here and debate the tactics used, thats for the gravy seals, im just talking OUTCOME.

I don’t think Trump intends to take all of Canada, I think he wants Alberta and the conservative portions of the country. At this point I expect Canada to become nothing more than a rump state.
I don't think Trump has a choice. The majority of Canada simply won't be solvent. They'll come to him when policies destroy the entire country in about a year. They'll be forced to make a deal. It won't take very long honestly. Trump can just buck break Carney.

The same people who say the earth is flat get mad if you protest Columbus day...
Why protest Columbus Day? Fuck the Native Americans. They were violent niggers who skinned heads, sacrificed children to skygods and ate human organs for rituals. If you have any conceptual notion of otherwise, congratulations you've been brainwashed by Disneys Pocahontas and James Cameron's Avatar to think the indigenous were anything other than bloodthirsty savages who were at constant war with each other and did whatever they had to for survival.

Feet are the building block of miles. Not mysterious at all.

Remember, when they say Net Zero, they don't mean the 1990s era "free internet" thing. They mean "we will undo the industrial revolution because our ecofascist cult of white liberal women and their simps says we're killing the earth mother and you will be forced live in neo-feudalist "15 minute" villages for the rest of your very short lives as penance." (They, of course, will be living on private islands flying around on private jets with AI powered robot slaves to tend to their every whim.)

How many long-range bombers have those "other countries" got?

Ooooooo I wonder if my friend's nephew got counted in this audit. He is also a veteran who never deployed. He currently sits as his home, paid for by you, painting his Warhammer figurines. Also paid for by you.

He's a top tier Consoomer Disney Adult who loves all things Star Wars who can barely bring himself to say the Acolyte wasn't good. He's spent at least $20,000 of taxpayer money on Warhammer figurines at this point. As well as 3d printers for businesses he's never started or used. He also just got back from a Tax Payer funded Disney vacation with his mother. You'll be paying for this vacation annually for the rest of his life by the way, even when he does eventually get a job.

I assume now he'll be back at home, scrolling through Hinge to find some fat chunky chick to take out to dinner, also on your dime, and to fuck, again on your dime. Enjoy taxpayers!!! This is what you paid for!!!!

(On a side note, he's gotten pretty good at painting, so you the average taxpayer can take comfort in that)

"One thing I've promised since stepping foot on the campaign trail almost ten years ago is standing by the men and women of the United States military. Time and time again previous administrations seemed to go out of their way to disrespect service members, both active-duty and not. Today, I'm pledging to not touch the benefits to our wonderful veterans. In fact, I'm increasing them by executive order. I will personally vet the disability rating process to ensure that the most mobile, able-bodied, pencil-necked paper pusher gets 110% disability—only the BEST for our veterans.

Some of the less patriotic among you may question my decision, especially in the midst of my efforts of streamlining our government and making things better through effeciency. The facts of the matter are this: Robert F. Kennedy Jr., my Secretary of Health and Human Services gave his word that he would find the cause of autism by September of this year. I hold the greatest of faith that he will and that we can finally put a happy ending to this true epidemic of autism spectrum disorders plauging our young people, making them ineligible for the honor of serving their country. But like most things, there are trade offs—and I am the best at trade, believe me. If we, as a country, provide a Final Solution to the Autism Question we must then ask ourselves: who will paint the Warhammer figurines still left on the shelves?

Who will know the lore-accurate shades of color for each chapter of Space Marines? Who will get the grotesque and putrid flesh of the Death Guard just right? The answer in a post-Autism America will be the new class of veteran NEETs who can dedicate themselves to this great craft. My Department of Veterans Affairs is partnering with Games Workshop to add a monthly crate of figurines and a steady supply of paints to the benefits of all veterans, new and old. It's gonna be great folks, just watch and see. That's my promise as your President to the amazing service members of this great nation."

Just like he defunded USAID...

only for most of the programs to be refunded via the continuing resolution Trump bitched out Massie for railing against.

USAID cuts felt far outside Washington, D.C.: "Layoff trauma hit across the country"
—CBSNews (archive) April 23, 2025
[a few select quotes:]

“She is one of the close to 20,000 employees — many living in states such as North Carolina, Vermont, California and Georgia — who lost their jobs as the Trump administration took steps to shutter USAID.”

“USAIDstopwork, a website tracking the economic impact of the USAID funding cuts, determined that 19,187 American jobs have been lost as of Wednesday. The tracker found a total of 46 states were affected by job cuts and that, outside of Maryland and Virginia, some of the most impacted states were North Carolina, New York, Vermont, Massachusetts and California. In Georgia, for example, USAID funded 18 organizations that ran 79 programs, and 44 of those programs were shuttered, leading to layoffs and an estimated loss of $257.9 million.”

—•—

Over 80% of USAID funded programs are gone. They have not been re-funded. Congress being retards about the budget didn't stop USAID from being shuttered and closed down; and it didn't stop Trump, DOGE, and "little Marco" from cutting off the money flow to over 80% of USAID programs.

Congress has effectively been writing blank checks every modern Presidency (with money laundering earmarks). Trump2.0 used this opportunity to use the blank check and do something useful... not fund large chunks of the globohomo patronage network.

that ignores the Yemenite government getting support from the UAE, US, and KSA as well as having USA provide air cover/drone surveillance for the Yemenite forces. Meanwhile the Houthi have been cut off from their sponsors and their essential infrastructure is getting destroyed. 2018 Yemen and 2025 yemen are very different

The outcome was South Korea remained in place, which was the USA's objective. You should switch to water and take an hour break.

English isn’t a particularly special language
That's just wrong. English is in a class of languages that allow for information and instruction to move more freely and easily; largely free of cultural restraint, seeing as language is culture.

The other languages like Chinese are not bad for this, but English is better.
