The Elder Scrolls

I kind of like the bogged elves tbh, I'm tired of them slowly more and more humanesque.
i am more of the skyrim elven design rather than TESO elves, fuck TESO, it's shit and will always be shit, especially lore-wise, same shit as world of warcraft royally fucking up warcraft lore as well as the furfag friendly models.

I refuse to acknowledge any Warcraft lore after 2.

but from what I remember the main questchain is literally the same for both factions
The quests are mirrors of each other but there are some stark differences between the two.
He throws this comparison up and derides the armor on the right as "cheap realism," while the armor on the left looks "like a fantasy illustration."
Anyone who thinks The armor designs somehow look worse is a retard. Glass is the easiest comparison, looked like neon shit in the original, actually kind of cool now.

Also I'm playing an Altmer right now and think they look pretty decent, certainly better than the originals.

he is a massive faggot and so are you, he is extremely toothless and doesn't say that all of the graphical changes are solely on virtuous because it's a bunch of retarded frenchies and SEAmonkeys that thought they could do better than bethesda did in 2006, same shit happened to WC3 with the same SEAmonkeys fucking up the graphics and animations because the thought they could do better, he instead go on a retarded spergout about cinema, democracy shit, blackrock, trannies and shieet, something completely unrelated to the oblivion remake situation.
since you seem to enjoy that faggot, tell him to watch this video before he goes on retarded ramblings unrelated to the topic he's talking about next time.
Okay, no need to get mati. I just posted the video to gauge what people thought about it.

Vampire side is always better being Mage.
Specifically the Ring of the Erudite, shit's more broken that my ass.
I prefer Dawnguard playing as Warrior too.
If you are going for a mage build than the Ring of the Erudite from the vampire side quests is really good. it provides a flat increase to your magicka regen which can multiplicatively stack with other magicka regen enchantments. I think it might be the only item in the game that effects the base magicka regen.

To be honest, I never really ran a Mage build in Skyrim; even when I was going through the College questline, I always preferred to take a nice melee weapon and start whacking people.

Any suggestions for a magic build? Might give one a try sometime; heard there were some solid Necromancer builds in the AE I could try out.

i just told you my view, retard makes a 23 minute video about nonsensical ramblings that have nothing to do with the remaster itself which was microsoft hiring a bunch of chinks and frenchies to remake the game while also testing a few tech thingies because jeetfield was mocked to hell and back since ranjesh can't code/animate for shit, also unreal engine being modder unfriendly and that goes against the trademark of bethesda which is "modders will fix it someday", outside the body type shit that people are trying to culture war grift there isn't much to go on because even the new voices still treat your character a he/she and that is the main crux of his video, whereas the artistic fidelity was taken down a peg because TESO influence + unreal shaders + modern devs being retarded, the rest of the gameplay is fairly similar to old oblivion + bugfixes and QoL shit which he doesn't try to touch much for some reason, if you think i am MATI then you are sorely wrong.
Neither III and Frozen Throne?
i get his point, WC2 main climax is you killing medivh and he somehow returns, also he wants humans and orcs to bro it up to kill the burning legion even though orcs are under the burning legion influence that gets stronger with demon blood.
it would be cool if RoC had the humans, blood elves and night elves pairing up against the orcs + Kil'jaeden with him dying and taking all of the blood infused orcs with him, keeping the rest of the orcs as a bunch of hogs to be hunted down and killed but metzen wouldn't allow his character to die like that.

There's need to be a gender selector that goes: Breeders/Seeders
Simple, straight to the point and inclusive!
Male Bosmer get their own special gender. Femboy. Argonians get to have a sex change every year. Male Bretons start the game with a Chimtendo Switch and a vasectomy.

Gonna quote myself here as someone who's played full mage in Skyrim before:
Conjuration and Destruction are your bread and butter. Put down a summon (or two if you're high level) as soon as a battle starts. While you summons and follower (always have a follower if going full mage) are dealing with enemies you can provide support with Destruction spells. Make sure you take Dual Cast + Impact from the Destruction tree. Use Destruction robes - this is why you need summons and followers to soak up damage).

Restoration should be your next priority after those two. The spells are fairly useless - they just don't heal quickly enough - but the some of the perks are decent. If you play Dawnguard you even get some neat sun spells to play around with. They don't do much damage but you can throw them around without worrying about your follower, except Serana lol.

Alteration should only be done for the Magic Resistance perk. Illusion should not be leveled under any circumstances.

Sorry for the effort post. Despite what people say, it is possible to make a viable pure mage build, powerful even. It's quite satisfying too because it feels like spiting Todd. Whether you think that's worth it when you can just play stealth archer and nuke everything is up to you.

Sounds like some good advice; I'll give it all a look, see what I manage to come up with. Spiting Todd sounds like a nice bonus, and I was kinda wanting to snag some magic stuff for my builds regardless.

Quick question though; why should Illusion not be leveled? There are a few Illusion perks I remember being somewhat decent - mostly for some Stealth gameplay - but if there's a solid reason not to level then I'll take your advice.

Illusion becomes useless once the enemies level beyond a certain point. This is a problem for Destruction, too, but at least Destruction spells do something to high-level enemies, even if it just staggers them (Dual Cast + Impact), it means you can stunlock them for chip damage while your summons/followers do the heavy lifting.

An Illusion spell cast on an enemy that is too high a level will do literally nothing. Most of the perks in the tree are designed to mitigate this (which speaks volumes IMO) but it's still a problem. It's up to you but I just think it's a waste when you could sink those perks and experience into better schools or crafting.

Makes sense. I just found some perks, like Quiet Casting, to be useful when I ran stealth. I was also thinking about grabbing an Invisibility spell if it was worth it.

Gimme clocks if I'm noticing this late, but I'm trying Spellsword for the first time and feel like Destruction is retardedly OP early on. I can handle dungeons easily just by spamming fireballs down a choke point.

best elves are when they look weird as shit and kind of ugly, and to that end the remaster's look way closer to the original interpretations than teso's. apparently that's the minority opinion, though -- you know how fucking long it takes to find mods for mer that are even remotely lore-friendly and don't just make them legolas generic fantasy elves? i've been using the same skyrim face overhaul for ten years because it's the ONLY one i've found that doesn't do them dirty.

Literal actual sea monkeys could do better than Bethesda 2006.

This didn't look good in 2006, and plenty of us said so. The tiny helmet, barrel-shaped breastplate, too-short vambraces, and clashing, tomato-colored sash looked like a middle schooler designed it.

It's when you start running into enemies with 300+ HP that it becomes a problem. You can work around it, it's just that it won't be OP forever.

Around level 15 and starting to hit a wall with damage output on my Hand to Hand guy. Hopefully I can get some gear/sigil stones to help because ripping through caves full of wizards dispensing left hooks at the speed of the Doom marine was quite the experience
