There is so much to dig into here.
1."Ethan Derangement Syndrome" I doubt Eric even thinks about @FROG most of the time. Haven't we been getting shit from Fascist kirk BECAUSE WE DON'T TALK ABOUT ETHAN ENOUGH?!?!?!?!?
2."All the middle fill in artists for books you don't care about" WHO DO YOU THINK THE COMICSGATE FAGGOTS ARE YOU DUMB NIGGER?!?!?
3."Ethan is a real artist" fuck off Zack.
4."Eric's work has no soul" and jawbreakers did? How do you get off?
And 5. Example is NOT A COMICSGATE BOOK!!!!

Yes.
Yes I am

I think Zack is learning firsthand that while AI development is happening rapidly, it's not quite at the level of press a button and my comic magically happens in 1 minute.

Right now, it's hard to create consistency with AI. Ask an AI to create the same character 10 times and you will always get 10 different variations instead of the same character each time. If you want to create a comic using AI, with the same characters looking consistent across every panel, you'd have to do some heavy post-image generation tinkering. In the end, it may be far more efficient and less of a hassle to hire an artist while waiting for the AI to improve.

Many AI programs still have issues rendering text 100%. DALL-E is best at it at the moment, but the quality of their artwork is inferior compared to Stable Diffusion and the like. Even then, DALL-E still inserts misspelling or extra word when you ask it to insert long sentences in an image.

As for "tracing" using AI, most AI programs are not allowed to do that with 100% fidelity because they don't want to be saddled with legal issues related to deepfakes and such, while those that do allow this are geared to an audience wanting to create AI porn featuring deepfakes, and those AIs generally focus on photorealism-style art - not exactly comic-friendly.

Also, more significantly, AI still has issues getting your prompt 100%. That's why you are recommended to cram what you really want to see in the image at the start of the prompt, as the AI will place less significance on things after a certain length of the prompt. So, if you want to micromanage the result- with this thing being placed here and the characters being positioned in this exact posture and spot, the colors should be exactly what you want them to be, etc - it will take many, many tries (and cost - third party AI programs charge a certain number of tokens or credits per image generation on top of requiring a monthly subscription; I doubt Zack has the ability to set up his own AI program on his PC) to get a close result that is still will not be 100% what you want.

On top of all of these present issues, I doubt Zack has the intellect to craft proper prompts to create AI art that will meet his requirements.

On AI I've got an artist working on it using generative fill based on his loose sketches to create silver age styling in the vein of Wally Wood / Steve Ditko. It's much more consistent with lines only and no colors, but he still has to then go back and make adjustments panel to panel. Once we have the process down we should be able to make silver age-style comics together in about 1/10th of the time it would have taken him to draw originally. This is the way to do it.

Richard considers himself a ChatGPT artist:
1745960783294.webp
The thing is, someone like Alan Moore would take a concept like this and make a comic book out of it (See also Marvelman/Miracleman). Alan Moore was one of these people who started out disliking superhero comics. In a lot of ways Watchmen was, "What if we do other kinds of comics than superhero comics?' as a superhero comic. He was somewhat chagrined that instead of convincing people to make noir or pirate comics, it basically just lead to dark superhero comics.

But here's the thing that Richard doesn't get, as important as Watchmen was, Watchmen was never what sustained the American comic book industry. Getting books out on a regular schedule, trying out multiple characters (not all of whom were winners like Batman or Spider-man) and generally operating as a business were what created all those comics that Richard wanted to rip-off and paste into Comic Book: The Comic Book (before he decided to take the money and not do the book), not eccentric "artistes" creating subversive books.

Him using his anti-Eric July video to sweep for a degenerate urinal licker is somewhat interesting, mainly because it tells us everything we need to know about his one-sided, demented feud with Eric July because he hates that he gets books out on time. It's all instigated by his friend Ethan and his own jealousy.

there really is no justification for Richard to be going after EJ as hard as he is. all of the faggots he went after consistently in the past like doyle, mags, DeConnick, simone, antos were antagonistic towards fans, would insert woke ideology into their books, would try to destroy people or at least went after him personally, EJ's only crime is making mid apolitical comics. he doesn't really respond to people who hate him to the point where i don't think he's even ever mentioned Richard, he doesn't shove politics down the reader's throat and he's been nothing but professional and courteous with his fan (the same cannot be said of Richard).

i really think EVS saw Richard crashing out over drinker and all of them and is manipulating Richard behind the scenes to go after EJ to lend legitimacy to EVS's almost 3 year obsession with some random nigger.

Won't work. Zack is approaching irrelevancy.

I know that's an ironic thing to say considering he's this thread's favorite topic as of late, but do normies actually GAF what Zack thinks?

He had his shot. He turned over CG to EVS, and fucked up the lawsuit with Wade.

We watch him BECAUSE he's so irrelevant and he had a shot at building a career in comics, he work with CHUCK FUCKING DIXON. The guy who made bane helped you write your shit and YOU STILL FUCK IT UP!

Eric July does respond to people. He'll argue on twitter. He'll talk about people without mentioning names usually though. He knows Ya Boi for sure, even complimenting his short break from youtube last year. People have been posting Zack cringe in Eric's replies so he's seen it.

They are all irrelevant now. Everyone on this thread and other ex-cg factions all know the sorry state of things now. But normies/outsiders trying to understand comicsgate will source wikipedia which is horribly outdated. You could get the false impression that comicsgate is still what it was in 2018. I'm talking some crap like this:
No mention about how they became hypocritical crack smoking gang bang voyeur faggots in these.

"They think movies are just products" its the accountant 2. Not an undiscovered Farini holy shit.View attachment 7285802
"The movie is done when they're done. It has NO SET SCHEDULE!"
This fucking guy is amazing. Literally hating Drinker just to hate Drinker. It's so pathetic.

And I thought that mad max was "no one's favorite franchise"

I still chuckle when Zack'o there uses the word "art" to defend lowbrow slop like a sequel for The freaking Accountant

Perhaps this was already posted, but kind of funny. Zack can't get into the zone to type prompts into a computer...

It has been posted. That poll seemed like a desperate search for some honorable cop out from making and delivering the book.

Question; could you see yourself working without AI to make comics in the future?

He had his shot. He turned over CG to EVS, and fucked up the lawsuit with Wade.

I think if he hadn{t given the wheel to @FROG, a confrontation would've ensued with gruff, autistic Richard being expelled from CG after losing ugly to more sociable and articulate EVS. So Zack dodged that bullet.

Speaking of the Meyer/Waid lawsuit... any lawfags around to calculate how much Meyer could've reasonably gotten if Waid blinked first and bought him a STFU settlement? Sometimes I've entertained the hypothesis that perhaps KingBaby did give YaBoi some begone dough.
Of course the fact that Meyer seemed rather despondent, rather than buoyant after dropping the suit makes me realize he most probably got jackshit for his troubles.

Unlikely. I think what happened there is nobody got anything, each side bears their own cost, and they both have to STFU.

Which basically makes the whole thing a minor Waid W.

Yes. Some people think the whole experience basically broke him. He really wasn't the same after the lawsuit.

I can't believe Zach is now defending late books as "an artist has to be eccentric." This is the guy who said "Comic book makers should be like a hot-dog stand." Also, I hate the entire idea that good art and artistry only comes from people that are eccentric, or have no deadlines and take forever to make material. There are legions of artists throughout history that were very prolific, that had very regular work schedules and regularly produced material.

To give an example in music, one of the big current sensations in pop and electronic music, Fred again.. is incredibly prolific and an extremely hard worker. In fact, he said the most important thing he learned when he was at Trinity Music College, was just how hard everyone worked. People would play their instruments for 10 hours a day, and he realized that if he wanted to make it and be great at electronic music, he had to work on it for hours every day. When he helped write several of Ed Sheeran's albums, Sheeran talked about how they would write multiple songs a day, and usually out of all the ones they would make, one would be good enough to really produce. Fred is incredibly talented, yes, but he also works incredibly hard, learned half a dozen instruments to play the music he wanted, and perhaps most importantly, doesn't mess around on 5 hour livestreams mocking Eric July.

Funny enough he DID, somewhat, address the hot dog line and made a comparison to music in the same video but I didn't clip it because it wasn't very funny

Artists can be eccentric, but they also have to eat.

I can only imagine that Zach must have a sugar daddy/mommy or is selling drugs on the side, or else he would surely be putting out more comics. Unlike EVS, it's not like he has superchats and such to pay for his fast food meals and toys.

If accurate. Decent deal for Dillard.

I’m pretty sure Dillard has already confirmed this multiple times, but Urinal Licker keeps spreading the lie that YF is taking advantage of him because he’s Urinal Licker and needs to tard rage as much as possible.
