Yeah, I had to go fact check, and you’re absolutely right. Still, only a few more months until the 10 year anniversary of the original OP.

Chibi is now the oldest thread I actively follow. Chris died in prison, Dobson went MIA, movieblob got too repetitive. Here’s hoping that chibi doesn’t retire any time soon. In my mind, he’s the last of the real OGs of the golden age. I wish KF still regularly got more threads about people who were generally foolish, rather than someone who’s just on the opposite side of the political spectrum of whoever wrote the OP.

Chibi is a very self sustaining lolcow compared to most of them. Usually lolcows have a lot of push and pull or actions and reactions from alogs or white knights, but not Chibi. He’s not popular enough to have those groups and isn’t interesting enough to keep an audience so he mostly exists in his own bubble. It’s not like someone could argue trolling made him play Mario at 2 am in a crowded room on vacation in Japan. Nobody is whispering plans in his ear to try to mill content out of him. He just exists and in doing so is pathetically laughable through his own action.

SGDQ 2014 Really was a gold mine. You had the Chibi incident, the mormon couple infidelity gangbang, the forming of r/Samandtolki leading into the Boogie callout thread years later, and so much more. Chibi's gotten kind of stale in the last year or two, he seemingly learned to keep his predator controversies behind closed doors and mostly just wastes money going to Nintendoland. I miss the old Chibi.

His star has definitely waned, but I think it's a testament to how powerful that couch roast was that people still remember and quote it 10 years later. Chibi has always been a comfort cow for me, I don't expect anything too remarkable of him, I just enjoy the depressing limbo he's trapped himself in.

I just wish he'd be more active on social media, because his oversharing essayposts and attention-seeking over his grandma falling down 32 flights of stairs is really funny.

Its sad Troons killed GDQ, it's like the entire scene was ground zero for infection of them with so much autism it it was like Aids to gays in the 70s and crack to niggers in the 80s

It's such a good example of someone saying the absolute perfect thing to completely cripple someone. Any normal man would've crumbled due to ego death and gone to be a hermit in the woods, but Chibi had enough autism in his system to resurrect and continue like it barely scratched him.
He never gains self awareness or learns anything. Most old cows have stagnated and modern ones crash out hard but I know in my heart even 5 years from now he'll be exactly the same, trying to pass off as young with his 2008 hairstyle, annoying his mother and doing terrible cosplays

Not just the perfect thing to say, but delivered perfectly too. If Caveman had thrown his controller and chimped out at Chibi he'd be the one everybody remembered, people might even have felt sorry for Adam being the hapless idiot getting berated by some dude in his pyjamas.

Instead, he was calmly dismantled by the most mild and benign put down that did everything it needed to do. It was on par with that 'I don't think about you at all' line from Mad Men.

Spot on. It's like visiting your hometown once in a while, there's a comfort in coming back and seeing that absolutely nothing has changed, but if you had to stay there doing the exact same things you were doing 10 years ago you'd probably kill yourself.

I couldn't help but root for him when this first happened, the caveman incident was likely most people's first exposure to Chibi so despite already having a lengthy career of sexpestery, all he looked like at the surface level was that one guy everybody can remember from high school, too retarded to fit in but just slightly too functioning to be short bus tier, so people would let him tag along everywhere out of some form of pity. He didn't get social cues of course, but Caveman in a way seemed just as bad for different reasons.

It was pretty peak until 2015 or a bit later, the election probably being a breaking point for corporate political autism, but for the first few years when it was just a bunch of unsocialized manchildren playing nintendo 64 games felt like every single convention you walked away with a million notable moments and cows to observe, but then came the synthetic estrogen and subsequent banning of any real antics besides the occasional Protomagicalgirl spergout.

Some Chibi-adjacent cows/moments if anyone else is also feeling nostalgic during the Chibi lull:

Youtuber magicmush, who had previously made a pretty mediocre video on Chibi, where he chickened out about talking about Chibi's sex pest shenanigans at the very end, has made a video covering his friend BigAl, and at the 30 minute mark, we get to see Al's side of when Chibi tried to throw him under the bus for his 5 minutes of fame, as well as covering Chibi's creepiness he left out last time.
