I'm not on dating apps but just from chat on Reddit/Whatsapp I seem to have noticed a very recent shift with trannies from denying they want to catfish anyone to insisting they absolutely do not have to disclose they are trans including before sex as it is irrelevant and not the other person's business. Even the safety considerations now seem to have gone out the window, which is really not smart. In the past, trannies had just enough sense to know that sleeping with straight men by stealth could get them beaten or killed. Well, no more.

Granted, I don’t use Reddit a lot anymore but don’t a ton of communities do this? I remember my one account being labelled NSFW not for posting porn but for posting in some communities flagged as that. They weren’t even explicit porn subreddits but still considered NSFW. My pet theory, beyond on the obvious agenda of tearing down the bounds of decency, is that it's related to the normalization from internet communities. You used to be have to live out your fetish through finding a willing partner, visiting a seedy porno store, or going to a bdsm type club. I remember the early days of the internet when fetish porn was synonymous with bdsm and all the weird shit was lumped together under that.

Twenty years ago the joke was that no matter what weird picture you saw on the internet, there was someone jerking off to it.
