"Mad at the Internet" - a/k/a My Psychotherapy Sessions

I would like to force @Null to watch and react to this literal tranime short film on stream that's been going viral on twitter.

You can skip to 1:26 to avoid the actual anime segment.

Reactions to the initial Xeet (Archive) about it range from "this is transphobic/xenophobic" (because it accurately shows the anime to troon pipeline)...

I already pointed this out with a little more rambling about shit I nooticed, but yeah it's a special kind of terrible lmao. The anime segments the only actually "quality" thing here the rest is just bog standard depression quest navel gazing shit.
EDIT: Didn't know about the twitter shit though because I refuse to make a twitter even though it's called X now.

EDITX2: Also, it's really important to pay attention to the anime segment, especially how they warp the anime segment to be about trooning. It's GTA parody level which is why I thought initially that it was meant to be a joke when I stumbled ont he vid while half awake watching youtube.

Little closer to Hillary world
Both but will post without pounder later.
“This is the beginning of a new era in ethics where the voters need to know what is real and what is not,” the Beaumont Republican said on the House floor. “This AI technology gets better every single day. It gets more inexpensive every single day, it's going to become the norm.”
“This is nothing different than what we currently do with political advertisements,” Phelan said on the House floor Wednesday. “You have to put ’political ad paid for by,’ when you enter this political advertising arena. And all this does is tell you to add a disclosure that you are using altered media.”
"This is about what your voters believe and what my voters believe. It's not about us," Phelan said. "You and I will be a face on a composite in the basement one day, and we won't be remembered, but if we don't protect our elections and if we don't do something about the integrity that our voters see on a daily basis, all this is not worth it because then anybody could be up here, an image, a video of anybody could go run for election."

Failure to do so would be a Class A misdemeanor, punishable by up to one year in jail and a fine of up to $4,000.

I find myself completely unable to sleep once again so I was mindlessly scrolling X in bed and came across this. Ran upstairs to my PC to type this out. Maybe something for the Xitter segment (assuming Josh being banned hasn't put that on hold again)

The post in question:

As far as I can tell, the timeline of events is that this random person on X makes a hobby out of doing OSINT base identification in Yemen. They identified a random quarry as potentially being a military base, and I guess the US military is using random ass 10k follower accounts on X as intelligence sources because after they posted the coordinates, the US bombed the place and killed eight people who were apparently innocent civilians.

What I assume are angry Yemenis have found the post and are now blaming this person for the decisions of US CENTCOM:

Would there happen to be any Yemen Civil War autists who could provide more context? I kinda scrambled to archive shit before it got nuked.

Going back and re-listening to the DSP interview now, in the context of the last month or so. Hearing Phil talk about how everything is turning around for him. And it was just because no one gave him a chance. It's crazy how big his head got as soon as he came around the casino. Then of course he turned into a dirty snake an stabbed poor Andy, and Ashton in the back and leaked their DM"s.

Also saying "I don't do goal based streams anymore". Like just a straight up lie lol.

It's also funny hearing how ppp is talking during it, and I definitely see why I thought the DSP thing was just trying to get him to go along with what they wanted. I do really think, if Phil actually was able to not be Phil, this actually could have turned things around for him, which is the saddest part. But if he was able to change, he wouldn't be a lolcow.

Yeah there's no chance they haven't already had their all seeing eyes on this site already. People are retarded. Take a drink for Everytime a US strike kills "civilians"

I've been watching a mati clip playlist called "the fall of Ethan Ralph"
There's a part in episode 6 at the beginning with null and Rekeita talking to each other like 4 years ago and he is so incredibly different that it's jaw dropping.

I feel like if you showed a random person who had never seen him before that stream from 4 years ago and then a modern stream from the last year that even though they would know absolutely nothing about him, they would still immediately understand something bad happened to him. He is markedly different and in a very damaged way.

cross posting tech thread 07 polygon

The video game website Polygon has been sold to click-farm powerhouse Valnet and much of its masthead has been laid off, Kotaku has learned. The sale was subsequently announced in a press release. Multiple staff members have posted online about losing their jobs or about colleagues now being out of work.
“I‘m no longer with Polygon. If you’re hiring, please consider the many talented writers and editors now on the market,” posted Polygon co-founder and EIC Chris Plante. “Every one of them deserves a spot on your staff. I won’t be talking more about the sale because I wasn’t involved. Going to hang out with my kid. Taking wins where I can.”

The sale was confirmed in a press release which did not mention the layoffs. The price of the deal was not disclosed. Sources tell Kotaku that Deputy Editor Maddy Myers and Games Editor Zoë Hannah are among those that remain at Polygon. Vox Media did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

“I’ll say more later, but I no longer have a job,” shared Senior Reporter Nicole Carpenter. “I’m looking for work, as are so many of my amazing colleagues. I have lots of ideas and things I’d like to write. I’m really in shock.” “I had a great time working at Polygon,” posted Senior Writer Michael McWhertor. “Please let me know if you have any cool job openings!”

Founded in 2012 under Vox Media, the site quickly established itself as one of the premier outlets for original reviews, reporting, and cultural analysis in the world of gaming. Polygon’s coverage of video games, movies, TV, comics, and board games are some of the best around, while its forward-looking design sensibility helped elevate the way stories were presented and told online.

Valnet is based in Montreal and operates Screen Rant, Game Rant, Comic Book Resources, and other mass aggregators. The company is run by Hassan Youssef, who got his start in digital media with online porn websites. “The addition of Polygon not only strengthens our editorial muscle but also amplifies our ability to deliver unmatched value to both audiences and advertisers,” Youssef said in a press release today.

In a report earlier this year by TheWrap, many former contributors accused Valnet’s current media holdings of being exploitative content mills. “In journalism, there are really bad jobs. And then there is a place like Valnet,” a former Collider contributor told TheWrap. “[It’s] one of the worst places that I’ve ever worked and is probably one of the worst journalism publications I’ve ever seen.”

Update 5/1/2025 12:19 p.m. ET: Added comments from the official press release.

No, but if I were hiding mobile SAM or missile stockpiles in underground bunkers - a quarry would be great cover for building it. Either the USA was this lazy and retarded, or the sand niggers are just crying crocodile tears. Each is equally plausible.

sand niggers are just crying crocodile tears.
It's always this. They're always innocent civilians. They just struck a large gathering of them the other week and everyone cried they were civilians because they were "meeting openly in a tribal manner for Ramadan!" And no they were all confirmed houthis meeting like retards in the open in a giant rectangle. Remember their book tells them deceive and kill all non believers so in their culture they are innocent civilians

Can you possibly imagine tossing Molotov cocktails anywhere and your wild intense need to goon and tranny out into a complete dgen are so powerful, even as a teenager; the court sides with you and send you home to the cave.

There is almost no reason to read the article, it reads like an account if God lost in his fight with Babylon. Only this section confused me.

That would be a bad reason why?? Seems like their is a direct correlation. Well it is considered a bad reason so Gooners Privilege.

80 dollar gamming hooooo

With Mario Kart World, Nintendo wants to raise that BASE PRICE to $80. Being an industry leader, every other platform/publisher will want to follow their lead.

They targeted gamers.

Gamers.

We're a group of people who will sit for hours, days, even weeks on end performing some of the hardest, most mentally demanding tasks. Over, and over, and over all for nothing more than a little digital token saying we did.

We'll punish our selfs doing things others would consider torture, because we think it's fun.

We'll spend most if not all of our free time min maxing the stats of a fictional character all to draw out a single extra point of damage per second.

Many of us have made careers out of doing just these things: slogging through the grind, all day, the same quests over and over, hundreds of times to the point where we know evety little detail such that some have attained such gamer nirvana that they can literally play these games blindfolded.

Do these people have any idea how many controllers have been smashed, systems over heated, disks and carts destroyed 8n frustration? All to latter be referred to as bragging rights?

These people honestly think this is a battle they can win? They take our media? We're already building a new one without them. They take our devs? Gamers aren't shy about throwing their money else where, or even making the games our selves. They think calling us racist, mysoginistic, rape apologists is going to change us? We've been called worse things by prepubescent 10 year olds with a shitty head set. They picked a fight against a group that's already grown desensitized to their strategies and methods. Who enjoy the battle of attrition they've threatened us with. Who take it as a challange when they tell us we no longer matter. Our obsession with proving we can after being told we can't is so deeply ingrained from years of dealing with big brothers/sisters and friends laughing at how pathetic we used to be that proving you people wrong has become a very real need; a honed reflex.

Gamers are competative, hard core, by nature. We love a challange. The worst thing you did in all of this was to challange us. You're not special, you're not original, you're not the first; this is just another boss fight.
