Youtuber magicmush, who had previously made a pretty mediocre video on Chibi, where he chickened out about talking about Chibi's sex pest shenanigans at the very end, has made a video covering his friend BigAl, and at the 30 minute mark, we get to see Al's side of when Chibi tried to throw him under the bus for his 5 minutes of fame, as well as covering Chibi's creepiness he left out last time.

I know it's been said before but I still get a little pissed when Al tells the story about chibi straight up betraying his friendship with Al, his only *real* friend at that time, where he simply tried to get people to feel bad for him, and for what? It didn't amount to anything in the end. I don't really know much about Al aside from him dancing to that klonoa song and that vid he was in with metokur but goddamn son. Nobody deserves that.

For the little I know of BigAl he seems to be a mostly likable character. He deserved better friends than chibi and in the long run he came out on top and with a better life. His Metokur colabs and chibi stories are most of what I know of him. His commentary over that old commercial for some cooking utensil was an internet classic.

Woof, big throw back. I know way too many names from the intro of that video. Darknessthecurse, randomDCE, lillylivers, Hellsing920 etc. watched alot of them back in the day. Honestly the rant tubers deserve a good write up. I'm going to see if I can find it but there was a video meet up of bigal2k6 and others getting a hotel in New York City and hanging out.
Darknessthecurse especially, with him having a child fairly young. I honestly can't remember if that situation was more funny than sad as I remember him losing custody iirc.

I like magicmush he makes some good content, regarding the big Al video gave me a new perspective on chibi, I think he tries following trends to fit in, he never really seemed to have much of his own opinions outside of being a Nintendo fanboy later a Twitter nintentroon being a cautionary tale of what happens to someone who spends too much time online. I feel like there was a genuine friendship between the two at first that drifted away made new “friends” and said things to follow the trends his online “buddies?” did like the metoo era, or the blm “my former evil racist friend he said the Nigger word!” hell if nazis became a popular aesthetic on twitter he’d be wearing the armband and not question it. I’ve had this happen with a friend who got on vrchat, became distant and if someone with higher standing on the platform told him to jump off a bridge he’d do it twice. Impressionable autistics and the internet don’t mix.
That part on the call… damn I’m glad Al has friends but that was heart wrenching.
