I think people just reached their breaking point with the way things were and have skewed further into camps. I've seen this shift happen in my own friends group and found it's happened to me as well. Libertarianism is fine for a while but eventually one realizes that liberty without a value system/morals is anarchy. So we have to explore what value system works for our society and without a doubt that value system is Christianity. Not the cucked post WWII Christianity either.

Letting artists make what they want and letting people decide for themselves what is and isn't caustic to them isn't anarchy, it's simply being principled. Moreover, shaming people that enjoy coomer bait isn't the absolute wrong way to go about "fighting wokeness" and "avoiding spiritually caustic games", because being shamed by the left back in the 2010s is how we got in this mess. It's astounding how Melanie articulates her arguments in much the same way the Sarkessians of ten plus years ago did, and it's nauseating to see so many (mostly men) fall for it. I thought as a society we learned not to fall for wahman moments.

There is definitely a struggle when one brings God into the arts. As a media artist myself, I find my recently found faith often times interfered with what I find cool and enjoyable in media which drives me insane because the LAST thing I want to do is compromise my "edge" if that makes sense.

If it's driving you that "insane", then maybe it's time you make media that's inline with those born again values you have. And if that's not something you can reconcile with, then sorry, the arts aren't for you and it's time to find a new job. Or you can just keep that edge while simultaneously holding onto your values, because not every piece of art you make has to be a reflection of your beliefs or ideology.

His "fans" nowadays are mentally child-like in how they're wowed by someone who uses ten dollar words to articulate their stances on something even when that someone can be full of shit or just as fallible as anyone else (being not taking well to criticism, having terrible taste in women, being a hypocrite, etc.). These are simple people more wowed by verbal spectacle and sharing beliefs rather than looking at the substance of what they say and do, and it's cringe.

the other thing that is happening is the tube's alogs used to reward consistency, not anymore, it went on full tiktok mode - creators must track what goes viral and ape that for any chance at algo steered views.

Razor famously does badly in public spats because he’s prideful in a way that’s easy to mock. His general strategy of not saying much or not engaging was the smart one.

And he so easily gets into those spats since he's never willing to read anything anyone says charitably, and thus makes enemies all the time. The fact that he hasn't spiraled himself into complete oblivion yet is remarkable. Thankfully, the time has come.

All this video did was give more evidence Eve was BPD, but did nothing to quell any of the other issues. His timeline didn't establish when he began talking with Eve or when the relationship with her started. He seemed to imply 2017, but I don't believe he mentioned a specific year. His argument seems to be that he's monogamous because he says so and therefore can't have been with Eve when he was with Ladyfist, which isn't really a receipt.

Razor also seems to miss why so many people believed Eve's accusations. It wasn't because of #MeToo or anything like that. It was because Razor's demeanor in the audio matches the demeanor he employs on all of his platforms whenever he comes into contact with someone that has a mildly different opinion to his own. Hell, I still remember when he threw a bitch fit at Stephen Russell, the voice of Garrett from the original Thief games, for some liberal twitter post he made. He did the same to Warren Spector, the creator of Deus Ex, and in both cases quickly deleted his response posts. Razor is extremely petulant and quick to fits of rage that he tends to regret and the audio from Eve demonstrates that's not just a characteristic of his online persona.

I mentioned before in the thread that Razor took a weirdly sympathetic approach to BPD in one of his Amber Heard videos, and while it would make sense for him to do so in the context of Eve, this is the same person who made fun of Dimebag Darrell and a bunch of Pantera fans getting murdered simply because he doesn't like Pantera. Given how he presents himself and behaves, I think he probably saw those traits in himself, provided he doesn't have DSP levels of self-awareness. There's no disputing Eve has BPD, but Razor trying to present himself as a passive angel in this situation is laughable, I think he probably gave as good as he got. In my experience with BPD people, they can have lucid, relatively normal moments, but they can also absolutely five-alarm fire freak out.

I’ll give him credit for this being his best video in years… but you can also tell he was faking like crazy in his recorded phone calls with Eve. And the lack of acknowledging his sperg out towards her says a lot.

Yeah, that's a good point. He was recording Eve, so he knew he had to be the good guy, the same way Eve recorded him to act like she was the good guy. I for one would have loved to be a fly on the wall when neither were recording and they were both freaking out at each other.
