I've heard one hospital shame Tom for not wanting to help his son, and drive him to his home. I've heard a judge admonish Tom, too, saying he felt like he was the only person who cared for Andy's safety, only for Tom to tell the judge that Andy had an arrest warrant, and protective order, because Andy re-broke Tom's ribs. I've heard Tom talk about how a judge didn't want to do a formal eviction with Andy, he wanted to talk privately with Andy and Tom, because he thought Andy was too retarded, but Tom couldn't afford that, so they couldn't move forward with a formal eviction.

Fuck it, I'm power leveling. My brother was a drug addict and would lie, cheat and steal, do ANYTHING to get money for a fix. It didn't matter who he hurt, and it didn't matter how badly, he needed his fix. And no matter how many times he did this, we'd take him back. When you love someone, you'll not think logically. This isn't a stranger, this is their fucking son, their brother, their family. Even parents of murderers still love their kids. It's hard to give up on someone like this, and we learned this hard way, but you can cause more damage with an open hand than a clenched first. They didn't enable him, they loved him, and Andy is a fucking sociopath who uses and manipulates everyone to his own advantage, you aren't a person, you're a means to an end to him. Here's a primer: Andy has allegedly cut Joe's breaks causing a car accident. He has poisoned Joe at least twice, and called the cops on Joe for everything from playing music to a tap on the arm. Andy also beat the shit out of Joe at age 17 for no reason.

Andy has threatened his mom twice at age 8 and 16 with a knife, causing him to be hospitalized. He openly fantasized about stabbing his mom in the eyes and cutting of her arms and legs to "make her feel what he goes through." He also tried to cause her harm by fogging up the house with an oil diffuser while she was on oxygen and turning off the lights on her while she could barely stand.

Andy is a monster.

Andy has legit attempted to kill his dad by puting antifreeze and sleeping pills in his coffee, poisoned his whole family with epson salts and feces on multiple occasions, and tried to kill their dogs with the diffuser and by pouring cranberry juice in their food. And I can't count all the times Andy has done something just so he could call the cops on his dad.
