Today, 29th April 2025, is officially Nick's decade anniversary since he was arrested and thus when he last saw the outside world in any format. As we all know, a lot has changed in the last decade most of which Nick has absolutely no idea about. He only vaguely has an idea of what the new normal is and assuming he serves his full sentence his sense of reality will only be more broken as time goes on.
I'm only writing this today since this thread has gone dead when none of us should ever forget Nick whether he's released in 2031 or 2055. He needs to learn that he isn't welcome anywhere after all the heinous shit he's done to his half-sister. This isn't one of those crimes that can be forgiven with time. If Nick was truly sorry (which he isn't), he would understand why the world sees him as a monster and certainly wouldn't want forgiveness.
I want to leave a quote from
@Null back in 2015, not long after Nick was arrested:
"Nick will, for the remainder of his natural life, be denied pleasure. That's sort of hard to imagine. Right now I'm eating a coffee flavored candy and drinking alcohol. He will never experience flavor, in-house slop is disgusting and the vending machine food they sell in prisons are only accessible if people on the outside send you money. He will never experience expression, because he is denied contact with the outside world and won't have access to a computer. Any thought he thinks aloud in prison either won't be heard or could get him killed. He won't ever be able to experience consensual sex or love, and people are cheering on for him to be raped. He is denied freedom to move about, he's shackled every time he's out of his cell, he won't have access to media from the outside world except via newspapers."
We need to make sure that remains true for someone like Nick. Never forget who he is, even if he's been gone for a decade now
