He sponsors the booths for artists and vendors. I think he's more interested in their good will than the con's, but the knock-on effect of that is leverage with the con as well. I doubt they would have fired that one nog who was boasting about having control over the panels otherwise. They certainly wouldn't have done so on behalf of Kirsche's fans.

If she's looking for merch opportunities, I'd think she'd just go to VShojo instead. Already got her model, it's a retirement home, and getting a Holo_EN would be good for them publicly following the firing of Matara

Cali has done covers for One Piece which love it or hate it is one of the largest and longest running animes / mangas out there. She's a solid choice. And as much people hate her rap I love how it pisses the right people off.

Idk where else to put this screed so here we go.

The whole Sinder thing is sad but we've known since at least the Silvervale Hogwarts drama that vtubing is not anywhere near as buddy-buddy as it makes itself out to be. A lot of people who were varying degrees of fine watching Silvervale get buried by psychotic progressive busybodies are now savoring a similar flavor of betrayal. It's karmetic backlash for the vtubing community, for being incapable of summoning this same level of outrage when the controversy was coming out of wayward applications of their own politics rather than just lust for money.
