Enjoying the new season 2 episode edit (it's good btw these episodes actually have improved my opinion of the season including Cole) and I've got a question for the season 2 lore guys in this thread, what was the catalyst for the feud between Dumbgay and Trish? Was there a kickoff moment? An argument? Does he hate her just because she's half white? I'm trying to remember what started it all but I can't seem to find a moment.

Its because she didn't want to drink from the same water tank that Dumbgay just used. Its in the episode but they don't really put any emphasis on it because Trish is always quick to clap back with an insult or fuck with someone's shit if she was being attacked. She is so fast at her counter insult that it makes it seem like they're already feuding.

Dumbgay said the beef was part fake to begin with because he felt the show was too stable when he arrived and learned the relationships everyone had to each other. If I had to guess it was a toss up between Shinji or Trish for him to pick. Jimmy was just naturally abrasive, Tay got into a huge blow-out shout fest with Jimmy during the triathlon right infront of him on his first day and had her issues with Nifty and TJ was goaded into beefing with Jimmy over Taylor. Shinji and Trish were idle and Brian was exited from the show. If you watch bits during the Cell you can see him harassing Shinji but the guy just wouldn't bite into responding.

Trish and Dumbgay had been feuding way before the Cell, it was almost immediately as soon as he entered the tank. Their first fight wasn't long after the hot dog challenge.

This is true but he let it slide to a degree because he was more annoyed with Nifty being exceptionally lazy on a TV show. So his ire was directed elsewhere. Lets just agree there was a meta reason for the feud and Trish's willingness to respond more than Shinji ever would played into it being fake initially then becoming real according to Dumbgay. Dumbgay would partly view the show from the perspective of a viewer and try forcing content if he felt the show was getting stale.
