Anime/Manga - Discuss Japanese cartoons and comics here; NO CULTURE WAR DOOMPOSTING!

For you torrenting dudes, what have you been using in recent years to find those older and more obscure anime and manga in decent quality?
I use nyaa.land, but I don't know if you're going to find what you're looking for. I never had any problems finding older things in there - I just downloaded the entire Magic Knight Rayearth series and OVAs from it.

Is Nyaa.si really that poor quality when it comes to obscure anime? Man I wonder if that could ever have to do with the fact that registrations have been closed for YEARS and you can't upload torrents without one....
It's really hit or miss. Sometimes it'll have stuff but won't seed over multiple weeks. Sometimes it has stuff but the quality or subs are garbage. Honestly, I really should just learn Japanese at this point for my hobby.

Thanks man, I will bookmark it.

It is now the birthday of this VA

I recently started going through my backlog since this season is shit, and realized that pretty much every torrent site I used to use either sucks now, died, or went private. For you torrenting dudes, what have you been using in recent years to find those older and more obscure anime and manga in decent quality? I have found your average native hosting piracy site doesn't have a ton of classics, or has awful quality.
I don't torrent myself, I usually direct download but Reddit (ironically enough) has a decent piracy megathread with a anime section for everything from direct downloads to torrenting. The goat symbol usually indicates sites they recommend

There's also The Index but I find that one to be a bit iffy with some of the listed sites. A lot of good ones but some shit ones in there. Proceed carefully with any of the sites you visit, make sure to use adblock and have a anti virus just in case and all that.

Proves Mihoshi's story was half right. Maybe she is from the OVA continuity, but that explosion probably sent her to a worm hole leading to the Universe continuity, and caused a chain reaction creating the continuity of Daugther of Darkness. Then again she appeared in Dual so this isn't far off.
I did a little digging and found out something that I probably knew before but it's been a long time, Daughter of Darkness iisn't exactly a once-off, it's just not connected to any of the animated Tenchi Muyo continuities but rather it's based on the 12th (of 13, I think) Tenchi Muyo novel by Naoko Hasegawa, who was the creator of Kiyone Makibi, and her novels exist in a separate canon from any other Tenchi Muyo continuity.

They really oughta make a series out of that, anime or manga. I seem to recall there was a Tenchi game that has another Galaxy Police officer who is Mihoshi's protege and thought Kiyone was dead

Can you imagine anyone following in Mihoshi's footsteps?

I wanted to create an account just to thank the guy who posted the bluray of the Akage no Anne dub, but I can't since nyaa is fucktarded.
Not sure if brought up yet

It'll probably be week 1 like the last season, so 5 months to go... I'm eager to see Loid's backstory. Despite the target audience of the show it hasn't been afraid to show death and blood at times which is one of the things I like about it.
totally not Dresden.webp

Oricon final released its full list of top selling manga for last year

Jujutsu is probably gonna drop like a rock next year but will still probably make the top 50 since the last 2 volumes will count for 2025, and assuming frieren doesn't go on another hiatus next year it might beat One Piece for best selling series since it doesn't look like any series this season got that much of an anime boost and I don't think there's anything in the next one that might blow up in japan.

Katanagatari is a stellar show. Check it out you FAGGOTS.
(The video is barely a spoiler)

Edit: Attached a torrent file with the best subs (22.3gb)

Katanagatari is great. You'd think it will be formulaic until you get the episode where the MC will fight the dude they hyped up for couple of episodes, only for it to turn into an inverse slasher. I'm still split on the ending though.

I just really enjoy Nisio Isin's writing. Its fun and enjoyable.
If you want Nisio without all the echii shit in Monogatari, you niggas should check Katanagatari out.

Man, I know that an anime adapting part 2 of Fate/Grand Order is impossible already, but I wish it had a manga adaptation.

Chapter 4 of Ordeal Call came out and I am in shambles because of a single character from the beginning of part 2...
