"Masking".
For the uninitiated, "masking" means that someone with a mental illness suppresses their symptoms when in public or when interacting with other people, which is usually mentally taxing and stressful to these people. This is supposed to be especially difficult to people with autism or aspegers.
Except I call bullshit. Not only these people are very well aware of what they're doing, they know it's bad and they know they can control their behavior, so where exactly this talk about mental illness comes from in the first place? It's not like normal people don't correct their behavior or play a certain role when participating in society, so why do spergs act like this is something different from people controlling their behavior? It just seems like an excuse to lose control and blame the supposed mental illness they're having so that they no longer have to behave themselves among people. And of course you'll find plenty of spergs getting angry at the notion that it is possible for them to function like normal people.
