You never know. Greers delusion about being an important celebrity brothel owner may be taking over his already shaky grasp on reality.
Assuming the emergency motion wasn't some charade to delay and prolong the inevitable, this situation is surreal. There's a distinct possibility Russ prioritized petitioning a county board for a brothel because he thinks it's more important than his court case.

At first thought it's like "no shit. This is Russell Greer" we're talking about, but it's just crazy that he looked at the two and thought "I NEED to attend this over my years-long lawsuit appearance", and that's ignoring the fact he doesn't have the money, logistics, resources, etc. for a whore house to begin with.

I need the brothel to somehow be a relevant enough topic in court so Hardin can request Russ's business plan for discovery. Yeah yeah yeah, I'm sure it would need to be redacted for the sake of intellectual property, but IDC. At this point, I'm sure it'd help with whatever the fuck this lawsuit is over.

I can't believe this bias judge is infringing on Russell Greer's human rights
I'm not sure he could successfully prove to the courts satisfaction that he is in fact human.
This is absolutely what he's going to, and he's probably going to ask during the general questions portion if he can start a petition to build a brothel etc.
Application for a county funded "Handi-Ho" no cost brothel for the Handicaped. Russ Greer Executive Managing Director.

There's no way that he just learned about a really important business meeting was scheduled at the same time. And can't be postponed because reasons. He just wanted more time to respond to motion to end the case. Also, what business could he do? He's broke, he lived in his car not that long ago.

Of course it was this. Greer has to be shitting himself because his oh so important lawsuit to bring down Kiwifarms is about to suffer the same fate as all of his other lawsuits.

It's a desperate last minute end run to avoid having to actually appear and answer questions.

Oh absolutely, but the mere fact that we can sit here and think the "emergency business meeting" to advocate for his brothel is plausible, is amazing. Would anyone be all that shocked if it was real?

The mans is trying own and operate a brothel! Look at how many sacrifices he made for his dream!

I only believe it's plausible in that I feel like Greer could potentially trick some boomer with a piece of shit property that looks like it belongs in Fallout: New Vegas into at least meeting with him. Greer is then delusional enough to think that he could then convince them to sell the property based on an IOU and then convince his parent's to mortgage their home to get the money for the property/brothel startup. Greer has never said that's his plan but it's the only way I could see him getting $100K+.

Nah! I agree with others. Greers "Important Business Meeting" is one of those City/County Board meetings. Because he could certainly never get them to change the calendar for them. And he delusional feels the need to explain why he must be given whores, to the authorities. Because if only he is allowed to Explain all of his psychotic dreams will come true.

TL;DR I think it's safe to claim that whatever Russ "was informed that he had to be at", it's not a county meeting relating to buying a brothel. It might be a county appointment, but it would be weird for one of those offices to be open and operating during a public meeting. So it's most likely a private entity, and if so the court really doesn't have cause to pre-empt itself for a private, allegedly un-reschedulable meeting.
Or he just made it up.
