Australian Federal Election 2025

Can you link me this projection

Crazy town if it's true.
Mobile fagging rn but here, idk if there's a better source: https://au.yougov.com/elections/au/2025
One Nation preference is up to 9%, basically doubled since last election. I think it's probably higher, because this is just a select number of people who bother doing those polls.

Crazy

I'd imagine the primary vote for one nation is probably higher than any forecasts as they are the party moderates are embarrassed to sat they are voting for as well

I think there might be some upsets with regards to minor parties, because there's a whole lot of new voters who hate both Labor and Liberal.
I'm a young voter (although this isn't my first time), all my mates around my age and younger people then me absolutely despise Labor and Liberal. Unfortunately, most are turning to the Greens as their "best" other option.
If you think about it for 3 seconds, both major parties are just pandering to old people who watch TV, most young people don't see a bright future ahead for Australia so don't care about voting or the system in general, no matter how flawed that mindset is.

First time voting for me. Voted RW Minor then Greens then Labour and Liberal for my Green ballot, I'd rather see a retarded lefty win my electorate that a lib or lab candidate, the only thing the greens know how to do is make shit legislation and huff petrol to experience dreamtime. my prediction is labour majority in the house with a rw crossbench in the senate

Well Labor has FriendlyJordies for the younger people and unfortunately I do think he has some sway with young voters, especially since I can't think of any other popular online Australian political commentator (aside from maybe Punter's Politics?). Literally released a video yesterday that was kind of interesting before he got on his knees and started his usual routine of deepthroating Labor and I just had to click off. Unironically going "trust the plan" lmfao.

Australia is the only first world country with compulsory voting. And the Australian government has slowly been ‘reforming’ the elections to ensure a certain outcome. It’s quite clear that Australia is not actually interested in being a democracy at this time.

as an Australian who has never voted, compulsory voting is only compulsory on paper.

Speaking of younger influencers, SBS had six of them on for a "debate" (?). Rank them from most to least annoying:

I just can't take women seriously when they complain about the environment when they have like 70-80% purchasing power in Australia, and literally all of them insist on endlessly consuming luxury goods. Like the women in this video, all wearing multiple layers of makeup and fancy clothes that contribute massively to the problem of pollution they are arguing, they probably all mindlessly consume shit of temu as well like most women, and yet they refuse to stop doing it, because they don't actually care. It's all just about virtue signalling and "being on the right side" even if they are one of the main contributors to the issue. I promise you these women would 180 immediately and go kicking and screaming if any sort of cosmetics ban came in due to climate change lol.

That would be Freya Leach, free market zealot. I rank her as the third most annoying panellist.

Abbie Chatfield, who rose to 'fame' on The Bachelor and seems to think she is the main character, is no. 1. Abortion promoter Hannah Ferguson next to her is 2.

Abbie Chatfield isn't an influencer IMO (just someone who fucks famous and in the industry people to stay in the spotlight), but I would rank her as most annoying solely for saying that you should be proud to say who you are voting for when dragging Sam over tiktok for interviewing Peter Dutton and then saying she dragging him becuase feminism.

More thorough breakdown
I can't believe Trumpet of Patriots is getting enough votes to be above "other". Spamming ads really work!
