Just a typical case of "do what you want, just don't do it to me"

But that's just the beginning, check this shit out:

Using children and infants to further your ideas? Sounds like a feminist move to me

Teenyfeminist, you're missing their point. When they insist "I can't help it if I was born [X]", they're really saying, "Don't dismiss my thoughts, or me, because of your bigoted assumptions about people you think are like me."

That post is written by a tard but the problem with Coco is Disney tried to copyright 'Dia de los Muertos' and some of its symbols. It's like saying "only we can make art and merchandise with these words and symbols from now on", and it's unacceptable to do that with something of public domain. It'd be like copyrighting the Nevada fall, Odisseus or Venetian Carnival.
A similar problem was the deal with the blackest black and that one asshole artist who managed to copyright it so only he could use it.
But doing it with a culture that's been of public domain since forever it's a tiny bit harder, uh

Disney tried, and failed, for obvious reasons.

Surprise surprise, the corporate bigwigs at the top are fucking greedy asshole idiots.

I feel like I actually have to say something to the defense of this one. When I saw it on my dash at first, I (like many others) reblogged it because it sounded like the typical snotty tumblr kid. That wasn't the way she intended it to come off, and she explained herself later. Sometimes you really can't control your reactions, or how people interpret them, so you might not always come off as "nice" (and honestly, this could apply to neurotypical people if they're stressed out enough). Not trying to powerlevel here, but if I'm intensely focused on something, I can get easily startled, and I've had people mistake my sudden snap to attention as me being irritated at them.

She also said she understands how her reply looked, and why people reacted to it the way they did.

Assassin's Creed was made by a greedy corporation too, but Ubisoft didn't try to copyright freakin Florence, did they?
It's good that Disney failed but they did because of the public backlash. Someone will try again, you know it.
sjw or not, I believe we can all agree public domains must remain of public domain. Dia de los muertos belogs to mexicans like it belongs to me and you, ya feel me?
