I do, but I don't see how that's the fault of the creatives that worked on the film.

it isn't but it's Disney that makes profit in the end. The artists will get paid for their work on the film only. Having 'worked on a main Disney flick' is gold curriculum material nonetheless, they will get to work on something else.

Well, she had thought the post was like how a parent will condescend and tell you to just "be nice" regardless of how you currently feel. Sometime it's just not that easy, especially if you have other shit going on in your life. And, like I said, some reactions will be mistaken for hostility even if they aren't, so it's harder to always appear "nice" to others when you're neurodivergent, even when you're trying to. Dunno if that makes any sense. Someone else summed it up better, but I'm on a mobile device right now and can't get the link.
 
I still don't see the reaction as warranted. If someone tells you to be nice, isn't it easier to be polite than it is to chimp out?

Bringing tumblr labels into it just makes it even more exceptional. Next time just yell "DON'T TELL ME WHAT TO DO" and tip some glasses of milk off a table.

This isn't the first time I see this. I've seen users (white people often) who only reblog stuff of Lala land (or any popular movie tbh, I've also seen it with Beauty and the Beast) if it's a "remade" graphic starring black actors or the like. It's like they feel guilty of even liking something where white people are the leads...Sad.

I dunno, it just bothers me and seems like a fetish. No, Sally, you're not more "progressive" or "care about minorities" just bc you watched the all ghetto version of Beauty and the Beast, you actually seem to treat minorities like fetishes. Go fund for charities or learn about a culture if you're so invested in "caring for the minorities".

Most white social justice at this point seems more like white savior behavior tbh.
