Scale Model And Hobby General - 1/35 with new tooling

The scale model scene on twitter (Outside of Japanese and Korean guys) is all trannies. The overlap between autists and troons becomes clearer each day.

Seriously? I always thought the troons would stay to warhammer and other stuff that's more new-aged than scale modelling.

That might have been me, but all my shit is packed up or was sold off a decade ago when it became clear I wouldn't have the time or space to really dedicate to a proper railway. I'm getting a new shed next year. Might start it up again.
What scale?

British N, either big four or on the corporate blue/sectorisation transition, on a fictional branch off the west coast mainline. I was also thinking of modelling something Japanese at one point. I've got couple of Kato commuter sets still.
I own a few Graham Farish.
If space isn't a problem you might have better luck with British 00 scale. I know hornby specialized in that.

I used a different shade of dark yellow/dunkelgelb on the exterior because I was negligent. I also didn't take into account that the height of the front shield would change once the field gun was installed so there's an awkward spot near the bottom where the green camouflage comes to an abrupt stop.

The interior is closer in color to what I originally intended, had I not used the wrong paint bottle. The interior yellow is a little warmer while the exterior is a lighter, colder shade.

I don't usually paint the figures that come with Tamiya kits, but I chose to give these a shot because of the open-top nature of the vehicle. The faces look kind of mannequin-like so I'll probably apply a wash to fill in the details when I'm not feeling lazy.

It's a good kit, as expected from Tamiya.

Does anyone know where I can pick up 1/72 F-15A Streak Eagle decals? I thought I found some on ebay but it turned out the seller put the wrong picture up.
I would print myself but I don't have a lazer printer and the decals would be mainly white.

Happy I found this thread, I was starting to think one did not exist from previous searches!

What's everyone's backlog looking like?
I've probably got a few hundred dollars worth of unbuilt kits.
Easily over four digits at this point, I'm a sucker for tanks and 1/35 is the ideal niche between "tabletop" 1/72 and space-intensive 1/16. The scale of the collection is forcing me to commit to building so I can keep adding without taking up additional room hilariously enough.

Latest build for example is a Panzer I Ausf. F which is quite cute in 1/35 scale. Such a stupid vehicle and Hobby Boss isn't the best in terms of quality these days but will look very nice once painted and weathered. And yes, I go the full distance with armour texturing, weld beads, and other basic scratch building for the extra flair:

Tamiya make the best nippers. It's a quality company in an industry full of crap
I've had the same pair of Tamiya nippers for around a decade. My previous pair also lasted me a long time. I got a God Hand pair on a sale last year though, and man. It's a little finnicky at first, but once you get a feel for them, they're really smooth.

That being said, I still use a lot of Tamiya stuff. Most of my working clothes have some stain or the other from their pants and topcoat.
