4chan was a lot like surfing the zeitgeist. The addictive quality was in catching a good wave (which is good anons + good subjects + memetic potential).
This board doesn't replicate that. It has the former 2 things, but it doesn't have the memetic potential. A big enough wave and enough anons making memes immortalizes their surfing of the zeitgeist.
