Así entenderemos qué se entiende por personalidad, qué se entiende por salud y/o enfermedad y, quizás, averiguar los mecanismos que intervienen en esta interacción.

El agua de lluvia puede ayudar a los hogares a ser autosuficientes en zonas en las que no hay conexión a las redes municipales y, así, contribuir al ahorro del vital líquido y disminuir la demanda sobre el suministro público.​

Utilizar agua de lluvia en zonas urbanas:​

Reduce la necesidad de construir nuevas presas.​

Protege el flujo de los ríos, pues disminuye la necesidad de extraer aguas de fuentes naturales durante la época de lluvias.​

Reduce los costos de operación y mantenimiento de las redes municipales.​

- Estos sistemas requieren de mucho mantenimiento. ​

-Hay que conservar limpio el techo y los canales.​

-La falta de mantenimiento de los sistemas genera riesgos sanitarios.​

-La temporada de lluvias normalmente se limita a unos meses, por lo que se necesita otra fuente de agua para el resto del año, a menos de que se tenga gran capacidad de captura y almacenamiento.​

-En general, el agua de lluvia, especialmente en zonas urbanas, no es potable sin un tratamiento previo y carece de la calidad suficiente para el consumo humano.​

El projecto Isla Urbana, que
aparece en el documental H2Omx,
tiene de objetivo abastecer con agua
sustentable a los poblados pobres del DF que puedan, y lo hacen de una
manera muy simple.
Se ha intentado ayudar a varios poblados con problemas de agua (que casualmente son pobres poblados) mediante el uso de una técnica ancestral, pero modernizada: La recolección de agua de lluvia.
Los sistemas caseros de recolección de agua de lluvia comúnmente colectan la que cae sobre el techo de la casa y la canalizan a un tanque para usarla en áreas exteriores y en el jardín.
Para utilizarla en estos lugares, simplemente se le pone una llave al tanque, de donde se toma directamente. Para usarla en toda la casa, se requiere de un sistema de distribución con tuberías y una bomba, por lo que esta alternativa es más costosa.
En la práctica, la mayoría de los techos carecen de un área suficientemente grande como para captar suficiente agua de lluvia y satisfacer la demanda en el hogar. Para conocer la capacidad de recolección de tu techo, es necesario calcular el área y la precipitación promedio en la zona en la que vives (herramienta).
Se requiere hacer un cuerpo
metálico en forma de contenedor con laminas metalicas, que puedan ser maleables, hacerlas forma de cilindro es lo mas ideal, conectar estos contenedores ( se requieren hacer minimo dos) con tuberias caseras, para filtrar el agua, se usa una pelota de casi el tamaño del diametro del tubo para que solo pase el agua, tal como un filtro industrial. Es ideal usar esta agua simplemente para el riego, el lavado de ropa, fruta, etc. Aun requiere mantenimiento
Una ligera solución para ahorrar agua
Pero hoy en día no es siempre posible, por muchas causas y razones. Lo peor, es la misma problemática del agua y la contaminación, el abuso del consumismo y las compañías irresponsables.
Se ha descubierto que muchas empresas usan un exceso ilegal de químicos del que después se desperdicia y se tira al suelo. El mismo PH y nivel de azufre legal también ha sido afectado, llegando a niveles excesivos.
Curiosamente, varios edificios comerciales ya son construidos con diferentes cañerias, una con agua potable, otra con agua tratada, y otra agua para incendios. Solo faltaria que se hicieran casas asi.

El agua en la vida humana se considera un derecho humano, y que todo el mundo debería tener acceso a este de forma responsable.​
