Honestly, far from the most hideous tranny this forum's ever seen. Then again, he still looks like a human and not a homunculus formed of week-old fryer grease and synthetic hormones, so just by that merit alone he clears most troons.

Still very definitively a MAN, though. Looks like someone slapped a wig on Austin Powers.

I'm really curious exactly what happened. There's 5 or 6 writers and quite a surprising amount of people credited to some degree. Did they go back and rewrite parts that sounded like they were written one handed?
Well, at least we know how many tardwranglers it takes to wrangle a game dev troon.

I got confused because I remember the "Lead Developer" being a man (and he is) but this is the sort of quality you can expect from people of pronouns.

One thing I nooticed looking through some of the worst dialogue is that what I am going to call troon italics is usually a tell for some troon sex pest. I don't know how to describe it, I'm not going to be a schizo and link the very concept of italics to troons, but there's some je ne sais quoi to the way they use italics that I think they must have picked up from erotic fanfiction, probably the same brainrot that made them use 'domme' in what should be neutral professional copy.

Dread Delusion is enjoyable, really. Out of all of these games it's definitely one of the better ones. Something felt off, though. Some parts of the story are really cool, usually side characters, and some have weird stunted anime undertones. The latter parts tend to involve female characters and very unfortunately happen to include the main plot. I checked the dev website the first time and didn't notice anything. I went back to playing. As I keep meeting more girlbosses and notice some weird grammatical mistakes (inconsistently switching between 'they' and 'he', for instance) I finally go look it up and

Well, I dunno, it's still quite cool. I find it hard to be as jaded as some of you guys. I guess it's proof that these can be salvageable if they have some editors and manage to keep it in their pants. If although had I seen this BlueSky tweet I would not have bought the game. In game the interaction with this annoying bureaucrat has no sexual undertones. I'm really curious exactly what happened. On one hand, the "dommy mommie" appeals to both X/Twitter and Bluesky gamers for all those on the platform are likely terminally brainrotted and can be tricked into paypigging your game if you use it. On the other hand, you have to deal with terminally online coomers and or be one yourself to say it, which is a regrettable fate to say the least.

I think you could feed an AI a bunch of RP chat texts, anime shows and anime game translations, shitty fanfics, and several autisim overrun games (like Fallout and HoI) and you'd get the modern troon voice.

Yeah but wanting to be that dommie mommy is an AGP thing which is a bit more obscure. Usually those are either antagonists or third person, non customizable protagonists rather than just jorking it to the idea of your featureless character spitting on some guy.

Isn't Dread Delusion the indie game Synthetic Man specifically used as an example as to why "just play indie" isn't the answer to everything?
It is.

Wandersltop is particularly notable because it's developed by a team headed by Davey Wreden (The Stanley Parable), with music by C418 (Minecraft), and written by... Karla Zimonja (Gone Home). If there's a greater tell of how people change political affiliation over time, I don't know what is. It might not be troonslop, but it sure is DEIslop. Brown girl protagonist = DNP.

So I think people mentioned Postal, while Im not sure if it counts because its mostly the fandom being crazy about it, I still think Postal 4 is a weird game.

I dont hate it, but it feels just "ok", it exists. 2's jankyness fit in the charm in a way that you can feel its because they had limited budget and tech, the same way a "so bad its good" film cant exist if its made on propurse, its incidental. 2 just feels like a lighting in a bottle situation where even the devs cant capture the charm.

Granted, the game taking years to actually be finished despite them asking full price is a bad thing, 2 also released quite barebones, and a lot of what people came to love came in updates, but playing just the first 5 days in 2 is more rewarding than 4 coming with like 2 days.

The Jank in the game can make some unintentional great moments, tho.

Related, I find the RWS comment on him not being transphobic so funny, because its basically:

"He isnt transphobic, he Hates everyone"

"So he hates trans people?"

"Yes but not because they are trans"

"He still hates them, dont he?"

Really, whats the point? I dont think it makes a difference if he kill Lilith they/them for the fun of it instead of because hes transphobic
I remember this little debacle and i saw a few people also say this but the worst thing is trying to make the misanthropic sociopath who is also a bit of a lunatic seem "human" in the sillest way for invisible brownie points. The irony is that him hating everyone is a lot more understandable than "he hates everyone but hey trans rights or whatever please notice us"

The real postal dude would (be able to) torch a pride parade. In fact the month of June should set off a special holiday themed event in Postal ² where the marching band is replaced with faggots and trannies instead. This time the suicide bomber is a skinhead or something funny and if you save them you get a degenerate weapon like a dildo or the gimp suit early.

Postal 4 sucks because RWS saw the random popularity of 2, (a game which mind you, isn't very good and buggy mess even with the 20th anniversary update.) and said, "Well lets just make postal 2 again even though there's literally nothing we can do to top that." From putting an e-celeb in it to using random assets, Postal 4 is a giant mess that a LOT of people defended when it came out. There was another thing I saw about RWS which was mocking them for being "edgy" and always hating Postal 3 and that was pretty spot on.

Can you show some examples of those troon italics? I haven't touched a troon game and only ocassionally lurk in Fanfiction Horrors, I don't get what you mean.

Karla Zimonja (Gone Home).
Davey didn't even write it?! What the fuck was he doing, then?
I thought that the Fullbright retards were gone after Tacoma flopped and the sex abuse scandal hit them. If only...

I just wish that they made more POSTAL 2 expansions. Paradise Lost was 10/10 and probably one of the best games I've ever played - before they became pussies.
That fucked up early 2000's tech stack was comfy as hell and most "boomer shooters" don't come even close.

Base Postal 2 (with fixes) was a very good game and their only decent work beyond the first. Before STALKER came along there's a reason why a lot of Slavs loved it. Has a lot of depth for a zone-based "shooter". Doubles as a nice time capsule. The postal 2 expansions suck ass and derail the quality a lot in my opinion. The base 5 days serve as their best work, likely just lightning in a bottle. Never shined as bright or smoothly again. Paradise Lost can be nice but the level design is inferior and it's overly bloated. Mods like Eternal Damnation solidify it's good quality as a base (Unreal Engine 2?) Project.

Overall, Postal ² is a shining example of fans making something more with a relatively simple game, so well that the dev team officially "endorsed" them and "look better" as a result of being le wholesome studio. The longtime fans are why Postal ² can be remembered as a very solid game and why the 20th anniversary fixes even happened.
