In ESKİŞEHİR, Ahmet Furkan Teke rammed into a flock of sheep trying to cross the road with the car he was driving, injuring himself and nearly killing the shepherd, Necati Akaydın, while 10 sheep died, all while the shephards son watched as they were just trying to cross the road. Ahmet's license plate was 26 GG 276.

Furkan is his middle name. Teke is his only surname. So that info might be wrong. Ahmet (even with "t") and Furkan are pretty common names around here. So there MIGHT be others with the same name.
It would be hilarious if that car crash is his doing though.

Edit: Digging through it and yeah even when I set "Teke" as the only surname on the site only this one shows up. Still it says the info was acquired in 2015. It might be outdated. He must have been studying in college at that time.

Years ago I started getting emails from some copyright troll from California after they changed the copyright laws in Canada. They were being forwarded by my ISP. I called my isp and they told me there was nothing they could do and by law they had to forward the emails. I was pissed so I searched up their office and did some research and it turns out they had been sending letters to a large part of Canada as soon as the laws changed and they'd already scammed some old ladies and shit. So I found their office fax number and found as many free fax sending tools as I could and proceeded to bombard their number with as many faxes as I could about shitty they are. I can only guess it worked because I never received another email again from them.

While the DMCA has many flaws, I think most sote owners would agree that if it was policed properly as it says it will be with fines for false reports, it's overall a greater good thing because it gives governments the assurance that the Internet isn't a complete wild west that they need to legislate harder. Obviously, it's policed extremely lopsided but the paw as it was originally outlined is pretty sane and a fair compromise.

Somebody needs to fix the DMCA system. The sad thing is, it's so obscure to the common man and a little complex to fully understand so it'll never be a vote winner or loser so there's no incentive for anyone who could fix it to do so. That shouldn't get in the way but sadly it does.

It's a bit fucked up also that nonUS companies that could skirt the fines even if they were levied are even allowed to file them. Like yeah, ok, all copyright should be treated equally whether or not you're based in the US, but idk... if they can't be punished for abusing it, why should they be able to use it?

(For reference I think the copyright system is broken and all that but the reality is, it's not going anywhere any time soon, so I think it's fair to at least expect it to be policed like they said it would over 2 decades ago)

I remember back when spam was new and people were actively trying to fight it instead of just sighing and filtering it. There were these shitty "lawyers" Canter & Siegel who would spam green card lottery shit to Usenet, this is a program that for no known reason randomly gives green cards to some applicants on a lottery basis.

Anyway it's free to participate in, so they were scammers because they were charging people to do shit they could do themselves for free. Also they made bogus claims it was the last year it would happen. (It still exists even in Trump World.) Canter was later disbarred for illegal advertising.

Anyway in these early days we would hunt spammers down and fuck with them. I was in a small group who did this. I doxed one who actually turned out to live in the same town less than a mile from where I lived. Someone else wrote a C&D and I served it on them by nailing it to their door. (Despite the name, "nail and mail" service in current year is supposed to involve TAPE but I used a literal nail. A huge nail. Because fuck that guy. This was of questionable legality at best.)

That spam shop shut the fuck down instantly.

Oh, why am I even posting this? Just to mention a fun fact from the past. A lot of old fax machines were thermal. If you'd tape a piece of black construction paper in a loop and send them that endlessly, they'd overheat and burn out. That was fun for fax spammers.
