Yes! the super harsh lighting almost makes it look like he's streaming in the dark with a flashlight blasting in the only light. The super deep shadows in the bottom third of the shot make the glair in the rest of it even more distracting.
But it's also incredibly dangerous. You can't have alcohol or other depressants in your system and its easy to overdose on it if you don't know what you're doing - and if you do, it's not pretty. Even Nick might balk at that.

Eh, I know we're on the farms, but I really hope Nick isn't doing whippets and his probation helps him get better. Kayla obviously wouldn't be able to hold the family together, and I assume the grandparents are probably getting along in age and would have difficulty raising 5 kids. Having the kids be split up or put in a foster home (probably less likely since the grandparents seem well off) is not an outcome I'm hoping for. Even if Nick isn't a great father, he's at least holding the family together (for now). Although if he's really doing whippets, maybe this is all just a cope, and he's actually actively detrimental to the kids. It really sucks for the kids, after typing this out, I don't know if him being alive or dead is the better outcome for them.

They'd be able to test it. Presumably, they might be able to get the prescription, talk to his doctor, and also get the record of his drug stores to see how much they sold him to correlate with the test results. If he gets tested too low or too high, it will be an issue because he's either saving those addies up like a winter squirrel with acorns or the entire 300mg prescription was gone in the first week, or day.
