There's apparently some EU law that makes it illegal for children's content to allow people to make comments about it online.

So what this means for YouTube is that instead of looking at videos one by one and making a rational decision they will mass flag any cartoon for fear it could be considered children's content. They have the tendency of assuming every cartoon is "children's content" so it doesn't matter if it's a Family Guy clip show of Quagmire being a sex pest, a Rick and Morty scene where they genocide some bug home world, South Park episode about growing weed. Because it's a cartoon they will treat it as "children's content" and mass flag all of it as something that needs to be censored.

The inverse of this is that there's Indian porn channels that directly upload porn to YouTube and flag it as for kids. I've seen at least a couple of instances of this, especially with ElsaGate-style content. You can just say your content is for kids and youtube's amazing automatic detection systems that can sniff out a 3 second soundbite of a copyrighted song won't double check your work.

I don't know why they do this because AFAIK having your video stuck in For Kids mode neuters its algo performance. Maybe they're just evil.

I don't get the ElsaGate and other algorithmic pajeet slop. I was under the impression that kids content was deliberately demonetized on JewTube, maybe not.

But if it is demonetized, honestly that's probably worse if you think about it. What other purpose would it serve to force-feed this demonic shit to little kids? :cryblood:

I was watching The Level1 Links with Friends Show of May 6 2025. At minute 5:28, they have a piece of news regarding Congress passing a new act called the "Take it Down" act, where you have 48 hours to take stuff down, and apparently there is no penalty for abusing the system, they mentioned to be worse than the DMCA.
Hope this does not rattle KiwiFarms too much.

They are also ridiculously inconsistent. Upload the same animation to the same channel, but with different language translations, and one version may get flagged while the other won't.

As i was just saying somewhere else. Just one of many examples of why the disastrous DMCA needs to go. was dangerous and unprecedented escalation of CR law. The criminalization of a civil matter and circumvention of everyone's right to make personal backups of media. That was another major goal of it. The ability too allow 3rd party takedowns and other abuses are just extra layers of nonsense.

In fact, the DMCA, along with modern CR law, needs burned to the ground and replaced with something sane and that works as originally intended. A short to mid term protection on copying (and selling) a full work.. A few years or so, not a century. To ensure the creator can make some money off of it, so that others with money can't come along and sell it out from under them, and thus incentivize the creation of more works. It was certainly never intended to protect aspects and little details of sold works from modification by owners, with or without the help of anyone else. And sure as hell was never meant to be abused as a means of protection for things like DRM or as a blanket power grab over someone else's hardware via loopholes like firmware etc. Nor was it ever intended as a means to make something disappear. If you aren't actively selling it then you don't need or get protection. DMCA needs to go first, for so many different reasons that it isn't funny. It's attempt to protect DRM and deprive you of your right to personal copy/backup and control, with criminal law.. Is the most egregious and dangerous.

The whole fallacious idea of "ownership" and "right" to works (so-called "intellectual property") needs to be squashed back into dust once again. These are and were granted protections, not rights of ownership and 100% absolute control.
