Interesting theory except for the fact that
  1. $2 billion is the total budget allocated to the game over its entire life. This includes the making, marketing and updating of the new GTA online as well as any planned single player DLC not just the base game.
  2. 205 million is the total lifetime sales for GTA 5 across all platforms. Nobody is expecting GTA 6 to match 12 years of sales at launch.
  3. Analysts currently predict Rockstar will earn upwards of $3.2 billion in sales just in its first year of release alone, including $1 billion in pre-orders.
  4. GTA has always been left leaning in its social commentary. They aren't removing the side mission where Lucia guns down a group of men for cat calling her because it might upset incels.

Why does this moron think Steam is the be all end all of video game success? The overwhelming majority of people would have bought these games on Playstation, where as Expedition had most of its sales on Steam (because the Chinese like it) which the analyst actually points out but Grummz conviently doesn't.

Oh that annoys me too but the fact he dick sucks the shit out of Vanilla when it was truthfully not all that great in the combat department still astounds me.

Cunnie Kern here is saying "How superior his version" of WoW was because they would NEVER but in a button to do your whole rotation for you.

Well...I did a bit of research and apparently the auto rotation button has a pretty steep cost to it. It adds an additional .3 seconds of Global Cooldown, which means you have an extra .3 seconds before you can perform an additional action.

The Baseline is 1.5 seconds However you can reduce this with Haste, .1 seconds for every 10% haste. My current Main's haste sits at 33% however with some of my other effects from my class I can get that up to between 40 and 60% depending on exact circumstances. so I am generally at 1 second Global Cooldown so this button would increase my Global cool down by 30%, which is a massive damage reduction.

Of course with outside sources I can push that even further, with Abilities that Grant me haste like Bloodlust and Power Infusion I can get down to .5 Second Global Cooldown quite easily...so this button would almost Double my Global Cooldown.

So Kern is quite literally talking out of his ass when this comes to being "A TERRIBLE THING" because it comes with a pretty hefty cost attached, its basically a glorified accessibility feature at best.

Oh also Kern is comparing this to HIS rotations, fucking His shit was almost all 1 or 2 button shit and even the stuff that has more than that isn't really that engaging.

They had this big game project called "Daikatana", all the while blowing money on a huge ass penthouse office/studio, deathmatching many times, an etc. Game gets delayed many times, eventually comes out and got savaged by critics and gamers because it ran and played like shit. After that, the whole concept of "gamer run" companies was seen as a huge joke with John as the punchline.

Oh yeah, the "John Romero's about to make you his bitch" game. I've heard it said isn't too bad and could have had decent sales if it wasn't for that marketing.
