I think Im kinda informed about these things but this blows my mind. I remember reading about Indias population being like 1 billion just in the 2000's .

According to Google its 1.48 now. Thats a gain of nearly 500 million in 20 ish years. That doesn't even count all the people that live in foreign countries I assume. Fuck me. Their over China now.

They couldn't develop an automatic rifle according to some post here (nor a tank yes) but neither do they know what a condom is it seems.


edit: Seriously why the fuck are we fighting Russia. These two countries can just human wave us to death already. Luckily they hate each other.

They don't produce anything of value and haven't for like 2,000 years. Think about anything good in India and it was probably put there by foreign conquerors. Even Buddhism, one of the best things to ever come out of India, died out there because Indians decided that it was better to worship cows. There is no more useless culture on the planet than India.

From what I've read, back then, the net pop growth was low, because the birth rates was high, but the death rate was just as high. So you had families having 9 kids, only for 6 to die, likely due to disease or lack of food.
Then the green revolution happened and the death rate fell like a fridge dropped off a 747; however, the birth rates stayed the same for a while, leading to a massive population explosion.
Only now is the birth rates decreased to something like 2 kids per family or something

Its the exact same thing we saw with the Baby Boomers after World War 2, but on a significantly larger scale.
