There's really no other way to describe it than a very obvious attempt to court the twitch politics people. Harley and Ethan were Ian's ride or die, when no one else was. But their clout was not sufficient for some reason. Harley I could get, he's washed up. But Ethan is rich and powerful. I guess he just wasn't cool enough in Ian and Anisa's eyes. Hasan fits Ian and Anisa's pathetic attempts to reclaim their youth (considering hasan is also an oldfuck that tries to behave like he is be early 20s). Ethan is too old and crusty and cringecore.
They chose wrong though because even with un-entertaining bores like Hasan and Denims, they still have something of value to a twitch audience. Ian could never. This is not the audience that was going to save them.

If I were an internet celebrity, I would pay very close attention to this and never trust a friendship from the Jomhas. They are snakes.

I had so much second-hand cringe from the interaction. Ian giving his dead-pan, SSRI-zombie delivery of the idea was excruciating, and it was merciful for Hasan to cut him off in the end. Where the fuck was that bit going? Whatever you might dislike about Ethan's fanbase, they're not a rape cult that someone could give shocking testimony about leaving. What was the point???
