Star Wars Griefing Thread (SPOILERS) - Safety off

Honestly, I can't even complain. That was good. This is what Star Wars can be when you keep niggers to a minimum and don't try to force a political agenda. I think that's the worst part, they're capable of making amazing Star Wars, but they choose not to.

Takeaways from the recent Andor episodes:

1) Dedra should've told Syril that the Emperor was involved and would reward them. She should've also had her Imperial subordinates transfer him to Coruscant personally to keep him from getting involved. Now he's gone, and she's convulsing.

2) Part of me thinks that Bail Organa shares some blame here. If he hadn't kept his distance from Mon Mothma and shared his resources with her (remember, he has Ben Kenobi AND Ahsoka Tano on speed dial) Mon wouldn't have gotten so addicted to Luthen's help, and you can trust Luthen about as far as you can shoot him, as Tay Kolma, Saw Gerrera, and Antor Kreeger found out the hard way.

3) It's funny how the human-supremacist Empire is getting a lot of support from alien senators who condemned the human Ghormans as savages while honoring the Imperials who died fighting them. Almost as if the aliens trust the Empire over the Ghor. One has to wonder why the rebels, especially in this show, has mostly human supporters, while damn near every alien who talks on this matter would rather not stick their necks out, or would rather support the Empire. Kind of dents the whole idea of the Empire being bad to aliens when the alien leaders who support the Empire outnumber the ones who support the Rebels.

4) I'm surprised Mon survived making that speech in that chamber. I always assumed she made her speech in some disclosed location before the ISB went after her. If those Palpatine toady Senators were armed, they'd have shot her before she finished her speech.

5) After these three episodes, expect a lot of "Star Wars is Back!" talk from all the major talking heads on Youtube. I can't see much of modern shows or movies competing with those episodes.

Just watched episode 6 of andor, fuck me the girlbossing is off the charts.

Am i supposed to know who any of these people are? The redhead and indian dyke couple? Like have we seen them before? And thank god she lambasted some guy who we don't know for crying, i almost forgot men are weak. They start from the finish line of what narrative they want to push and work backwards.

Also wasn't the torturing scientist dude on andor's side sense he was in their apartment? I don't fucking get what's going on at all.

This shit is honestly garbage.

The dyke couple were from season one, they were in the Eye of Aldhani arc. Also that was Bix having a nightmare, he wasn't literally in their apartment. I think that arc was total dogshit and I agree that they forced feminism down our throats way too much, but you not realizing the nightmare that was explicitly called out as being a nightmare is just a sign that you're retarded lol.

Iirc Mon Mothma giving the speech in the Senate chamber comes from Rebels. Also honestly, I think these three episodes may be the best Star Wars outside of ROTS and the Fives arc from TCW.

Okay so.... I thought it was an obvious nightmare at first but later in that episode wasn't andor saying "we had to do it he saw your face" or something along those lines about the guy they killed? So I thought it wasn't?

Admittedly i'm barely paying attention to this shit and can hardly stay awake. I liked the slow pacing in season 1 but it's being taken to absurd levels at this point. The ones playing luthen and mon monthma can carry dialgoue like this, andor and his girl can't, no can most of the characters.

:cringe:
The clone brain chip retardation?
I will die on the hill that the brain chips are the only way Order 66 makes sense. Just from ROTS alone, you get a sense of camaraderie between the Jedi and clones. Every single clone ignoring that and turning on the Jedi simply doesn't make sense. It only gets more jarring with the context of the rest of TCW where it's obvious the clones respect the hell out of the Jedi.

It also draws further parallels between the clones and the droids, as neither are granted the luxury of free will.

No. If you pay attention to the movies, there's no need for brain chip bullshit to explain the clones carrying out Order 66.

The Clone Army from the start was depicted as an army bred from the genes of a psychopath who followed orders to the letter, even if it meant killing innocent senators who merely asked for peace. Just because Jango's clones can play the part of a friend, doesn't mean they can't put on an act to hide where their true loyalties lay. Hell, Jango put on a facade to Kenobi's face of just being a humble bounty hunter who saw pleasure in the presence of the Jedi, even though he hated the Jedi at his core and had no problems killing Jedi face-to-face.

So the clones turning on the Jedi of their own free will made perfect sense, especially since the clones were trained by Jango Fett, whom we saw had no problems killing Jedi.

In the SWEU, they had some lingering respect for the Jedi, and those clones who respected the Jedi the most endeavored to make their end as painless as possible. But they were raised to be loyal to the Republic government above all else. As Jango himself said, "they grow up loyal to the Republic, or they don't grow up at all." Incidents of clones disobeying Order 66 are rare.

Sure it does. They're not normal people because they weren't raised that way. Their first and foremost loyalty is to the Chancellor, it doesn't matter if they've formed bonds with the Jedi or not.

I remember some of the 2002-2004 era clone wars comics and books showing a lot of jedi not fully trusting the clones and being uncomfortable around them. I never liked the Filoni stuff having the clones just be big chungus' and the jedi being best friends with them.

Killing the Jedi is just business, that's why it makes sense.

I'm surprised at how slow the Imperials were with Mon Mothma. If it were me, there'd be a team of Storm Commandos knocking down her door the moment that bug in her office got destroyed.

You even had a Jedi General in the Force Unleashed who did not trust the clones and built his own army out of local Republic recruits and even Separatist prisoners of war. Not to mention the 2005 Battlefront II where the clones were already looking at the Jedi with dagger eyes, seeing them as a thorn in the Chancellor's side, and how the clones themselves were loyal to the Chancellor, first and foremost. When they realized that the Jedi can be fooled, their next thought was that the Jedi can be killed.
