Navy SEALs, Delta Force, and SOCOM general - The most "Special" groups in the U.S. Military

Looking back on it now, I find it odd that a Navy special operations group, SEAL 6 / DEVGRU, was the team selected to take down Bin Laden. Intuition would suggest sending in Rangers, Green Berets, perhaps even a team from MARSOC
It’s not odd. ST6, among other things, is designed to do highly specialized raids against people of interest. It’s not SF’s lane. It’s could be a mission RR or MARSOC would do, but they don’t have the modularity and real-time mission support that ST6 would have.

It ultimately comes down to the fact that it was a Navy guy heading SOCOM at the time, if it was an Army guy you would have probably seen Delta do it.

David Walton, going by "TFVooDoo" in Reddit, is a former Green Beret officer and a Reddit mod of r/greenberets (and was the one to suggest that GB should do steroids). He just published a huge essay in response to the "Dead Warrior society" video that GB are becoming useless.

Again, David is an example that even in officers, Green Berets always show their high class. 🙄

It's hard to read. He truly writes like a Redditor in an overly emotional and angry way. But this part of the article stood out to me.

"77% of Americans between 18-24 years of age are ineligible for military service. They are too fat, too dumb, too sick, or too unlawful. And that’s just for standard military service, let alone becoming a commando. That number is up from 70% in 2018, so the problem is getting worse. Even within the military the disqualifications are staggering. A full 68% of active-duty military is overweight or obese. Over ¾ of the civilian population can’t serve and over 2/3 of our ‘warriors” are too fat. And we see this play out among our 18X recruits. Remember, these are the guys that had to meet elevated, harder criteria to earn the coveted contract."

His argument basically is that the requirements haven't changed and people don't want to be Green Berets but rather be Instagram stars. But a lot of his arguments boil down to "You don't understand ANYTHING stalker child lazy Green Beret, like how anything works, and no I don't need to explain why you are wrong."

TFVooDoo, like most ex-SF guys who make it their entire personality, is a grifter. He sells courses and books for aspiring green berets that if anyone challenges the credibility of on the r/greenberets sub, he and his cult of personality will dogpile the post with snarky replies and downdoots, or straight up delete it as he is the mod. I had read a post that actually received a large number of upvotes regarding how "TFVooDoo acolytes" that openly talk about having attended his courses during selection are summarily clowned on and end up as non-selects even if they complete the entire process, but it was of course deleted within 24 hours since it challenged the narrative he so tightly conttols over there. Wish I had archived it but alas I didn't have the forethought to realize he would inevitably be brought up in this thread.

Either that or its one of a 4 trillion knockoffs you can buy for 100 bucks on Canal Street
It's possible, but why? And why would you take an obvious flexing item to a training operation if it isn't to flex? You'd get totally clowned on by the other dudes if they sniff out you bought a fake.

And by the way, who allowed someone to bring a fucking ROLEX to a training op? (I know that many SOF carry luxury watches because they can work in a pinch as universal currency in a non-permissive environment, but still, 18K submariner!?)
stealing money from op funds (allegedly)
I can't allege enough. From Stan Goff about Delta too.

"The psychological evaluation didn’t screen out crooks, because almost the whole unit became embroiled in a fraud scheme that threw us into the crisis that contributed to the atmosphere for my expulsion. Apparently it didn’t screen out rapists either."

By the way, I've been reading r/greenberets and the cult of personality around TFVoodoo is real. They call him "dad" and show him feet pics (of their rucking calluses and injuries), it's really creepy.

No stealing from the government is based in red pilled the government steals from everyone else so there's nothing wrong with stealing a bit of extra cash because soldiers are undtake so much stuff from the office supplies.

Soldiers stealing things is as old as the US military it's called tactical acquisition a vital supplies and resources.
I have so many 30 round magazines all of my friends who are ex military tactically acquired

The U.S. Navy should always place officers with the best leadership qualities at the highest levels of command. But as currently structured, the officer corps excludes a significant subset of talented naval professionals—those in naval special warfare (NSW).

The Navy should assign NSW officers and senior enlisted as commanding officers (COs) and command master chiefs (CMCs) in the fleet. These admirals and force/fleet master chiefs should command large formations in the conventional Navy, not be limited to NSW billets. This change would allow the Navy to benefit from the combat experience and culture of its special-operations component and recapture the fighting edge that characterized its World War II–era dominance. Operators such as SEALs and special warfare combat crewmen (SWCC) are uniquely qualified to lead in a way that will inspire and refocus Navy commands at all echelons.

The Navy MUST immediately be led by NSW. Without "war fighter" grifter mindsets, tren, beards, tats and book deals the Navy as a whole will never fight effectively

I get so tired of hearing and seeing people say things like this. You aren’t supposed to put on the uniform voluntarily for ass pats and discounts. Be a quiet professional and stop sucking your own cock. It’s okay that most people self-select out of service — most people are better off not trying than trying and ending up broken, miserable messes at best or dead from suicide at worst because so fag on social media shamed them during their most impressionable years into service.

That Q course SERE training is paying off in dividends, lmao. What a clown.

But how will I get a new dad figure replacement whom I send my post-rucking feet pics for his fetish?

(As an aside, I'm guessing there's probably some messed up stuff in TFVooDoo's hard drive. Just sayin'.)

Can't even a-log. That's just sad.

This is sad too. They weren't fit to be in combat arms at all and died for no reason after training "syrian rebels"

And Red Sea trade is still down, so the insurance companies are not buying that the Houthis are no longer a factor. At least not enough to risk their 100 million dollar cargo ship to an ASM or drone that the US Navy might have missed.

UPDATE: "Mission Accomplished" was declared in an undeclared war that was "Operation Rough Rider", lasting almost 2 months of constant operations. Houthis are still a factor and after a Houthi missile almost hit the terminal of Ben Gurion airport, they are still a super dangerous element in the region. Red Sea traffic and trade will most probably continue to be down. 3 total F/A-18s lost. One by friendly fire and other 2 lost falling off the carrier Overall? Mission failed. I called it.

I'm sure people in NSW are very familiar with *checks notes" Aircraft, Submarine and Fleet capabilities, International maritime geopolitics, all Navy weapons systems, etc... great idea. Why have a Naval Academy at this point? Just throw in a couple of grunt "warfighters" to lead the fucking Navy.

They weren't fit to be in combat arms at all and died for no reason after training "syrian rebels"
“We were just terrified and confused,” he said. “We didn’t know what was happening, or why, or how many guys were going to come after us.”

GBs do react to stress really baldly. No wonder most packed up in Ukraine when they heard the first artillery shells.

I AM WHEEZING RIGHT NOW!!! HECKIN WHEEZING FROM THE CHUNGUS LMFAOS I DID
I'm sorry; I didn't get the joke. 😅

Also dont forget the dozen or so Predators shot down or lost as well.
