I've been firmly on the side of Phil never faking tips because we effectively have proof he never or very rarely did when we could prove his income, but post-KC Phil that's extending "goals" and such going out of his way to stick it to detractors, it's now believable.

Yeah I'm also hesitant to believe in him faking tips without actual proof. You are spot on with him wanting to stick it to the trolls. I'm sure this upcoming pre-stream is going to be a massive victory lap about how my mouth-drooling detractors are punching air, thinking I would fake a tip. On top of felting duh trolls him hitting the goal for his fagathon makes sense from a business standpoint too he obviously knows they are more likely to make dents rip velcro during them. Don't think we will ever have proof but it definitely looks fishy and would make sense for him to do it.

My autistic take is that whales now have an obligation to at least keep him on a liveable wage. They contributed to him to further delude himself into thinking he can stay this way for years. The sooner he would have changed, the better it would have been.

Now he is just socially broken. It would be unfair to expect society to carry him via disability payments or anything else. Employment is also not fair to the people working with him. Imagine having to work with him as a coworker. No. That's not fair to anyone. Whales have to suffah and pay out.

I want to believe it was a fake tip, because whenever he does get a real hail-mary tip, he always does the stupid coin animation, throws his hands up, shouts, and has that smug, greedy grin on his face. We got none of that last night, and he didn't sound at all appreciative of the tip at all. ALSO, he waited until the last second before he was going to cut the stream off, to announce that he had gotten the $88 tip. AND he made it clear dozens of times that he was GOING to do the marathon on Wednesday, and I think when he realized the support had dried up without hitting the goal, he decided "fuck it" and faked the tip so he could be a man-child and do the marathon when HE wanted to.

I don't think so. Because leading up to the anonymous tip he'd basically implied that he had a whale lined up who was "late"
