I wouldn't mind the statue at all if it was a black person that has recently made a great accomplishment or something. So many great accomplishments or innovations happen behind the scenes that doesn't make the news because it gets drowned out by all the fear mongering and negativity. Surely there's a black person that's recently given the world something of value that this statue could have been made to celebrate. The real statue they did put up doesn't actually represent anything, except for being fat I guess?
