Whats really fucked up, is that in this case Billy actually has the ethical high ground. At first we thought he was suing cause of the scores but we found out it was about Apollo more than anything and that he actually was right to sue Jobst. This is like Keemstar having a valid point about someone lieing about him. It's really shitty but still kinda funny in a sad way.

There is some absolutely insane thinking in single player competitive gaming on what account as fair, another example is Pokemon where you need to be literally retarded to get top stat mons in a legit way, but god forbid you admit it.

When things come down to luck it just means that whoever the tranny on welfare that has the most amount of free time is the winner rather than having skills.

This might be a bit of a stretch, but is it possible that Karl's voice is considered "part of the channel" because all the videos involve his narration?

I ask this because, after the judgment, Jobst released a video which was very obviously narrated using a Karl Jobst AI voice. Could that have been a test to see if an AI version of Jobst's voice would be sufficient to get views and engagement? Because if I'm Billy, I'd want his channel too, but the channel isn't really worth anything on it's own, because it's built by Karl doing his speedrunning commentary. So, if I'm Billy, I'd definitely consider using an AI Jobst voice to narrate, and then pay some scrub a couple bucks to script and edit it.

Could be a dumb theory but it kinda makes sense, especially if Karl's not sitting on a mountain of cash. All he has of value is his house and his channel, so those are Billy's best means of recovering what he's owed.

I really don't think you can (at least involuntarily) take possession of personality rights in a bankruptcy. It'd be pretty fucked up if you could.

Probably not, but if Billy said "give me your channel and let me use your voice on it, or I'm taking your house and kicking you, your chink wife, and your mutt kid to the curb", it would make sense if Karl gave him permission to use his voice. I assume your likeness/voice is something you can license or approve of someone using, so if he demanded that of Karl as a condition of taking his channel (in lieu of his house possibly), he might've gotten the right to use his voice.

Karl had every opportunity to get out of this but refused and dug himself even deeper. What he said wasn't worth the money, but a series of bad decisions can quickly lead to this.

To be clear, LUS in this video seems to be claiming or implying Karl owes Billy $1.8M. He does not owe him that amount of money, but this seems to be how much money has been put into this case by Karl and his supporters when you combine the judgment with interest, his legal fees, Billy's lawyer fees, etc. if Karl is to be believed here.
