Mass Effect Andromeda: Shitstorm Edition - RIP Biowear

Instead of organically including a trans character they just make the character spout off their backstory. Fucking lol. Its like when you write a background for a character in a story, except instead of incorporating that into the story, you just have them spout it off as exposition.

Holy fuck, the writing is terrible. There is no reason for a character to tell you that.

Anyone surprised they couldn't keep their identity politics bullshit out of this? No? Didn't think so.

I actually wanted to give them the benefit of a doubt that they wouldn't pull a Beamdog 2.0

Optimism really doesn't pay off, does it

And this exact same thing happened in Inquisition. It's probably worse there because of the way they mangled Qunari lore to shoehorn progressivism into the most restrictive culture imaginable, but the character being transgender serves no purpose whatsoever besides SJW virtue-signalling.

and if you responded negatively to that, you would be branded an evil CIS lord. It is more ludarics in DA:I, as it is set in a medieval fantasy scene.

Well the reviews came out today and they're...certainly mediocre.

Mass Effect: Andromeda is essentially the new Technomancer.

See you guys in the ME:A2 thread in 1 year.

No way in hell this gets a sequel, much better game franchises than this have been killed off by EA because they sold slightly below sales projections.

to be fair, EA didn't say 5 million on the first week, just in general.
Here, EA wants 3 million copies on the first fucking week. I'm pretty sure they are expecting like 9 million copies or so. I doubt they have forgotten that ME3 sold 6 million copies despite the backlash against the ending.

True, but back then they had the entire corrupt gaming press going to bat and playing defense for them. Not this time.

And with all the negative press around Andromeda since the demo dropped last week, there is no way it'll do good. Oh sure, it'll sell; it might even sell a couple million copies. But no fucking way will it sell 3 million copies in the first week - not in this reality.

Gamers these days know to listen to Youtube reviews of games instead of reading SJW game journos reviews, and right now Youtube is chock full of videos like this:

So, yeah, not a good forecast for Andromeda.

3mil can be reached, don't underestimate the power of normies and biodrones. Biodrones are one of the most autistic and fanatical fandom.

It's an interesting question, because until the sales numbers are in we really won't know how many BioWare fans jumped ship after the Mass Effect 3 debacle. I don't know if these are reliable numbers, but http://www.vgchartz.com/game/81793/dragon-age-inquisition/ claims that as of a 2/2017, Inquisition had moved just over 4 million units across all platforms after nearly 3 years on the market (if someone has more accurate numbers I'd love to see them). That sounds like EA really is setting it up to fail, because whatever backlash Inquisition suffered after launch, its initial reviews were glowing, or at least not the hot mess Andromeda is eliciting.
