This video opens up with Cody (After unleashing the Second Impact and raising the water level by falling into his chair (Please tell us the brand, Cody, you're doing a good job advertising its durability)) wanting to talk about Gamergate, listing its failings as being thanks entirely to a monolithic horde of porn addicts supposedly and exclusively focusing on the discourse of attractive fictional characters, claiming that "right wing grifters" and industry people are doing things like worshipping and propping up Baldur's Gate 3 for no good reason in the face of alternative RPGs on Switch (While also naming SMB Wonder and ToTK despite the video supposedly being about Roleplaying games.). Cody then namedrops "What is it? Operation 33: Obscura? I don't know what the hell this is." (Clair Obscure: Expedition 33), likely being the reason he bothered to make this commentary, pointing out that it's made by a western developer "That no one's ever heard of" (As it's their very first game), and brings us to the real meat of the video, the purpose for why this 2obese2lease kike-coded human thumb is opening his mouth for reasons other than to inhale food and a certain company's genital fluids; Cody believes that this game was made solely to prove that Nintendo can be outdone and give award shows an excuse to avoid giving Nintendo the GOTY awards they deserve. While Cody hardly discusses Expedition 33 by name onwards, he argues that it (and other games) are being forcibly pushed into others' faces by gaming media by way of being labeled "JRPGs". His first example of this is...The Netflix Castlevania show. While there does exist a phenomenon of poeple tying to label western works as "anime" or "manga" or even "JRPG" for the sake of marketing, no product has ever actually succeeded thanks to such labeling, and most cases of products being called anime and so on are generally innocent instances of people playing by ear (or eye given the art styles) instead of having an ulterior motive or one as cynical as Cody's description. Of course, Cody doesn't ever go into the cases where people like Meatcanyon deride anime fans (Lolicons in particular) and go on to explicitly market his works as "manga",

After some filler talk and claiming that western animation hasn't been good since the 80s(maybe the 90s), Cody returns to video games and claims the same for western RPGs, insisting upon their irrelevancy, lack of popularity and consensus against them. There's not really much to the video other than the stars aligning a little and Cody speaking some actual truth: That there has been (some) anti-Japanese bias in gaming media decades ago, and that JRPGs aren't really so much a genre but a collective of RPGs from Japan. Cody brings up BG3 once more, to quickly claim that interest in it exists solely thanks to the bear sex scene. Cody however continues to be wrong by stating that people are trying to disguise WRPGs as JRPGs, and doing so by "Making them turn-based". At no point does Cody prove that anyone is remotely claiming that a WRPG is a JRPG, or that a game is a JRPG "Because it is turn-based". or that "JRPG means turn-based".

Compelling point, Cody. There's not much else to the video besides Cody ignoring the fact that Expedition 33 is heavily inspired by JRPGs, likely so he can hate on it for not being a Japanese-made product or a Switch exclusive. Considering his fetish for European women, you'd think he'd at least somewhat respect the game and its devs for being French weebs, as he is (sorta) one himself. He's probably masturbating to ASMR of the barefoot party member walking on grass right now. I'll get to some of his other videos later.

People like Garaa generally go after console fanboys, who are low hanging fruit and generally fail to provide much of a challenge as entertainers and presenters, and nobody's really going to get super huge just from mocking easy to mock console warriors well into their thirties or forties. Even I feel like I'm going overboard on how often I post in this thread on account how I'm listening to myself speak more than I really am shitting on Cody for his own problems and flaws (That and I can't help but feel like an A-Log about it). There's the difference between a midwit and a dimwit, and many can't tell the difference, even when Cody is exemplary of midwittery. Several people took his blatant April Fools jokes seriously, as well as accuse him of being a pedophile because Playing Dirty includes a gay pedophile antagonist. Granted, if you're hating on someone Cody, who the fuck is going to bother investing in correcting you if you say something false about him? Anyways, Cody.

Long story short, Cody expresses his distaste for games with either a low budget, a Q1-Q2 release date, or are from a new dev team. Any reason to hype up a game that isn't explicitly "A Nintendo-only Japanese-developed game" is a reason he loathes. Most of the video past this is just Cody invoking consensus once again, reminding us that if you aren't discussing the same exact game at least five times every thirty seconds for decades after its release date, you're not REALLY "talking about" the game and you've "forgotten it", and bleats again (twice later on) about "WHY WON'T THEY TALK ABOUT NINTENDO! TALK ABOUT NINTENDO! TALK ABOUT NINTENDO! TALK ABOUT NINTENDO!", showing the core of his frustration about Expedition 33, openly admitting he has not even seen anything about the game nor has any idea what it looks like, criticizing it for its title alone and acting like it's YOUR fault that he's suprised anyone is propping up or shilling for the game, and argues that the only reason anyone cares about the game is needing a non-Nintendo game to champion, and trying to pass the game off as being "Yet another anti-Nintendo astroturf" or claiming that if you're praising the game, that means you're not actually playing the game, and are therefore wrong.

Maybe in here we'll see Cody try to defend his stance that he doesn't need to actually know what the game's like in order to know it's bad. "It's not Japanese, it's not from Nintendo, and it's not exclusively on Nintendo! What else do I need to say?". If he has any self-awareness, he'd find himself his own worst critic considering how much he wants to make a game, (Instead writing novels to distract himself from his inability to program or draw or model) but would be devastated the very same kind of criticism he'd levy towards something representative of his own capabilities.

I've read up to a portion of God Emperor of Dune ,and I've read each of the associated novels only once, but I am very certain that there are extremely few valid points of comparison between Paul and Griffith. Onto the actual video itself. Cody states that he dislikes Dune and thinks it's very boring, and that it failed to engage with its concept or themes of messiahhood sufficiently within the first novel. One of his given reasons for disliking Dune is that it doesn't feel "science-fiction enough", and leans closer to fantasy than sci-fi (Which makes sense, but Cody himself has never displayed any real interest in sci-fi, not even in his own Discord or in his own portfolio.

His argument for why Griffith is a "Better Paul Atreides" amounts to "Griffith's more successful and was ordained to be a messianic figure by higher powers", demonstrating that Cody cannot measure quality in any way other than power levels, feats, and achievements. This is ironic, considering that Griffith and Paul if anything are total foils. Paul at no point has any interest in power beyond what his family name provides for him, while Griffith spends the entire time trying to consolidate power and only cares for those around him in a sociopathic, transactional way. Cody utterly fails to notice Paul's fear of becoming the Kwisatz Haderach and the ensuing bloodbaths committed in his name, which just cements the whole "Power Level and feats" aspect of his mental framework for creativity. This is why people think you're just a battle shounen faggot, Cody.

I'm guessing that Cody is getting slightly more serious about his authorship, since he's remembered that he has a Patreon. Time will tell if this means anything, since there's almost zero engagement with his novels aside from the occasional comment that he's about as bad, if not worse than Patrick S. "Enjoy Prison, Stalker Child" Tomlinson or the author of Empress Theresa. At least we can say he's not trying to turn a buck, but damn, he's not really a visionary either.

Cody, as I know you read both this thread and my posts, even going as far as to actually think about them and respond to them with more than just incredulous dismissal, you have very little right to actually criticize anyone else whatsoever on being derivative or inspired by anything, whether it be Nintendo, JRPGs, Japan, etc. You desperately want to be a game developer and your hatred of Toby Fox is entirely centered around your envy over his success, even being on amicable terms with Sakurai. Terms so friendly that they play video games together in Sakurai's own home and even gambled over a Sans costume about it. His legacy exists in other products, including Nintendo products. You will never receive a adaptation of your "Golden Age" novels by anyone, let alone Nintendo. You will never be Japanese. You are not even among the circles of whites who contribute to any culture or civilization. You do not have a leg to stand on when it comes to shaming people for wanting to develop games while not being Japanese. While I'm at it, you are also among the last people who should be criticizing anyone else for being obese. Hell, you shouldn't even bother trying to exercise outside, if at all, you're better off just resigning yourself to a future heart attack given that your only motivation for self-improvement stems from trying to claim a shallow victory over fucking ReviewtechUSA.

It's rather obvious that at no point you are able to come up with even one argument as to why anyone should avoid Expedition 33. You cannot come up with a single statement against its gameplay, its story, soundtrack, voice acting, level design, or anything whatsoever. It's clear that the developers make far better use of their inspirations than you do, as you are hardly able to even describe the environment which your excessively cliche and generic protagonists and antagonists stumble across in.

You're not giving an iota of credit to anyone here. Clearly, you've overlooked the times I said he was genuinely funny and "based" (for lack of a better word) and that I liked the dude. I made the thread 'cause I think he's hilarious, not because I hate him. We can tell when he's joking, we can also easily tell when he's trying to play off his rage/butthurt over video games or successful authors.

His downfall as a content creator is the Nintendo obsession. Everything revolves around that. Ordinarily, he'd be an entertaining gaming autist who says the things everyone else's scared of saying, but he's decided to pledge his allegeance to a company that historically caters to young children. All of his conviction, all of his principles and beliefs cease to exist when Nintendo's brought up, and that's confoundingly funny.
