My terrible luck in ZZZ and HSR
That's just normal Mihomo rates lol. I played Genshit for a few months around the time of Eula and Ei because I liked both characters, but inevitably quit after getting aggravated with their constellation shit, atrocious rates and general stinginess.

I'm not a gacha player, only played Genshit before Nikke and quit. Tried Nikke just for the butts on a whim, but the story, the generous amount of gifted pulls compared to Mihomo and the not atrocious rates kept me playing.

I tried Nikke a few times. At launch, when Alice launched, and during the 2nd anniversary before the current event. Really didn't live up to the hype until Mermaid's story. Cinderella's event was like watching the koreans cry over the death of a north korean dictator and remaining unfazed due to cultural differences.

Sorry, but she isn't Legion from mass effect. Whose sacrifice and long buildup to it peacefully ended a centuries long war between man and machine. We're still fighting the Raptures in NIKKE and Cinderella's just being an overdramatic jirai kei with an autistic fixation around shattered mirrors.

Mermaid's story is better and I'm still waiting for all the "bubble butt" jokes to materialize around a character whose premise is summoning magical bubbles and soaking the entire screen in soapy water.

Doros are a meme created by the community when Dorothy was released. Because Dorothy is a very haughty character with a superiority complex, fans started to portray her as a small animal in ridiculous situations. It became so popular that ShiftUp fully embraced the meme, and even released merch based on it. Occasionally people create Doros of other characters, like your Siren example.
Seems like an official doro to me.

I did see some images of Mermaid having IRL Doros at a 2.5 anniversary celebration. Wonder if they will ever sell or raffle these off.

The main story is what kept my interest. Overzone cemented it. Events do vary in quality. Old Tales has very important lore, but I didn't find Cinderella's story to be one of the best. It benefits from being somewhat intertwined with the events of Red Ash. Dorothy's fall from grace and Scarlet's origin story in New Year, New Sword are my highlights for events.

Siren Doro might be official, yes. There are so many that I don't keep track lol.

If you have some time and the inclination, you should try experiencing the previous anniversary events from the Archives.

Start with Red Ash (1st anniversary event which introduces the entire original Goddess team and their motivations as they represent humanity's final grand effort to deal with Rapture Invasion), then Overzone (explains why Doro is so deranged in the main story line and how the Pioneers were formed).

Red Ash and Old Tales are like two halves of the same event told from different perspectives, so having had the benefit of experiencing Red Ash as it happened, Old Tales felt a lot more impactful to me. Many people (including myself) were waiting for a long ass year to see Cinderella after seeing her square up against the Goddess Team to be playable and what her deal was all about, and to me she did not disappoint at all. The developers even made a fully featured Metroidvania minigame (In The Mirror, you can play it right now in the Arcade section of Nikke) just for her event which is chock full of lore to sperg out on.

Then Last Kingdom (1.5 anniversary event).
which is directly set after you part ways with Marian/Modernia in the main storyline after rehabilitating her after she regressed to infancy and sent her off to the Pioneers for her own safety

I started playing Nikke with Red Ash, and the impression that it left on me was so good imo that I stuck with it until today. It was truly the perfect event to get a newbie oriented with the lore and the history of the world in Nikke, and Red Hood was the perfect headliner for it.

Will have to do that when I get the gems to buy the another film roll from the event shop. I did experience Old tales as it happened but the story went over my head as a new player back then. Haven't seen Dorothy yet as I'm still on the Modernia arc. But can actually appreciate the story now that I've gotten some progress in the campaign and had some time to actually get invested in the game first.

Managed to Max Limit break Mermaid as my first maxed out NIKKE after redeeming the 200 gold cards one time. Can now save gems for future banners.

Didn't know Red Ash was the counterpart to Old Tales, so I was a little bit lost on the story then. Good to know. I'll probably flip through it later.

(I have a lot of shit stockpiled since I never bothered spending them, usually just doing the bare minimum to get through the campaign.)

Red Ash takes place before, during and after Overzone and Old Tales. Scarlet Black Shadow's New Year, New Sword flashback takes place before Red Ash. Rapi Red Hood's Footstep, Walk, Run flashback starts before the Goddess Squad goes on their first mission. Intermingles with Overzone and Red Ash and also take place concurrently with Old Tales. And finally serves as the second half of Red Ash.

Best way to go through all of that is to play the archive events in order of their release.

Doro versions had been canonize with the 2nd April Fools event at the latest. It just Dorothy's Doro is the most popular. The other meme in the video also got canonize.
Damn, I forgot the Matis Doros in Syuen's burst lol

I got some free pulls from the event and after like 4, I got this girl from Mihara's banner:

Then I got 1 pull for the regular banner and got this:

Quency is one of the best B3 SSRs at the moments, especially for water element. Harran is one of the launch Pilgrims, outdated, but still very good for early game.

Yeah, considering the way they're intertwined, it may be best to just follow the release chronology of the events than the actual chronology for the events pre campaign. So, Overzone -> Red Ash -> New Year, New Sword -> Old Tales -> Footstep, Walk, Run.

For anyone that's still suffering through the Bubble March minigame, have you managed to beat all of the hard stages? I struggled my way to the last one and threw in the towel after an hour of trying. I tried different units, upgrades, whatever, nothing seems to do the trick. Give me back the tower defense or touhou minigames, dammit!

Had already done that when they're being released. Since that's what I had posted.

I can't even clear the first normal stage...

What strategies are you two using?
My upgrade strategy is to buy max bubble charge speed and unit cooldown reduction, and then put everything else in starting levels. Then once I get to the match, upgrade a purple (and the basic blue if I have enough) while the enemy approaches, wait for them to get in range of my base, and then start dumping purples and blues out to hold the line while trying to amass a critical mass of shooters. For all the normal stages, I only used the basic guys for normal, but now that I've gotten to hard I've thrown Abe, the second purple guy and the snipers into the mix. The second purple guys are now my initial defense, while I only start throwing snipers and Abe in later.
I haven't beaten hard yet, and I've done pretty bad at challenge (partly because my army gets too large, crushes one guy before I can upgrade units, and then I'm stuck on the next one with a massive level disadvantage), but so far I've been able to advance in hard mode, and I just got tired and quit last night rather than being unable to advance any further.

I was upgrading starting levels and bubble charge speed. I was using the updated purple shielders, pink bubbles and medics. I hardly used the heroes.

I cant get past the first hard mode level. By the time I've started turning the tide, the timer is up right before the slimes land the killing hit on the last enemy castle.

When is she being an actual unit in game? That's hilarious.

Doros aren't in game units, as they're for every thing else. As in animations, manga strips, merchandise, and etc.
