Is there an actual crowd for petite anime women? I know that a lot of people in the anime community have very specific interests in the body types/personality traits of female characters (most notably the "thigh guys"), though I've never encountered anyone with an enthusiastic interest in the petite body type. Also, for the crowd that loves to LARP as being logically consistent they sure are conflating fiction with reality when they talk about real-life petite women being victimised by the online perception of petite anime women. Anime petite woman = fictional depiction of a real-life petite woman, but anime child =/= fictional depiction of a real-life child, I guess.
There's ultimately no oomph to this "gotcha" as these people are bound by a paper-thin moral code and don't care about hypocrisy when it doesn't relate to their ability to win Internet arguments. However, I do think it's interesting that the people who bicker endlessly about the transformative nature of fiction and how lolicon is a "stylised abstraction of the essence of a child" (
thought-provoking argument courtesy of Digibro) allow for such a gaping hole in their logic.
I had to look into

archive) because methinks the "lady" doth protest too much. The only people who care about "body type representation in media" are the fatties and gooners. Nobody is looking at illustrations of anime girls (especially the ones that circulate on Twitter) to feel included and represented.
Strangely, Almost all of Selen's activity is from May of 2023 despite having an account creation date of July 2019. Either the account was hijacked, the owner purged their post history or they just have a really long, unexplained period of absence. Their tweets in early May all concern drama related to the "Nijisanji" VTuber agency and a VTuber by the name of "Selen", whereas the tweets from the 15th and onward are all lolidefending. Here are a few of those:
The all-caps reply in the bottom-left image reminds me of when Chris Chan used to go on those long, exhaustive tirades over how he wasn't gay. I laughed.
"There are REAL anthropomorphic characters who also happen to be short, flat-chested, speak in high-pitched voices and act coy/demure. When will the heckin chudderinos over at Fur Affinity go outside and observe objective reality for what it is?????"
We've arrived at the motherload. The person Selen was arguing with appears to have deleted their tweets, though there's some nuclear levels of retardation in here. Check the timestamps. His first reply was at 7:32 PM and his last reply was at 12:19 AM. He spent five hours engaged in this argument and all of it is completely retarded. The earliest tweet from Selen on the same day of these replies was at 1:36PM. Selen spent a grand total of 11 hours arguing about lolishit. This is who we're up against.
There's also these replies that belong to the same discussion, but don't appear in the reply chain for whatever reason. I think he may have been posting multiple replies at once.
But the realest, juciest, funniest piece of information lies at the bottom of their Twitter replies. In November of 2020, the following post was made to Selen's account:
