I believe there’s an unspoken art to grammar where you need to strike a balance between proper and readable. Case in point, the sentence I jokingly called out, “Also your grammar is atrocious”, would have less of a punch if it had a comma that made the reader pause mid-sentence. Or how you’re not supposed to end a sentence with a preposition, but you do it anyway because it looks more natural.

In this case, the emote itself works as punctuation when placed at the end of a post. If both are included, whichever comes second looks out of place as the reader has already considered the post to be finished after seeing the first. This is especially true for posts containing a single sentence, as there’s no inconsistency with punctuation in earlier sentences.
