Ignorance at a certain point is malice.
I don't know, there's a certainl reality to changing times that i sympathize with.
You know how retarded tiktok feels to us? Like i don't give the first fuck about what anybody on tiktok has to say, it's retard central to me. Imagine something about 20 years more retarded than that and that's essentially how boomers feel about the internet as a whole.
We really
shouldn't be in a time where faggots sperging out on social media flooded with chinese bots and brigading trannies is impactful on anything.
But we are... And you and I only know this because we were in the trenches and saw the cause and effect of how yes, this retarded shit causes real problems.
To boomers it has always just been "kids playing with their toys". There's no accountability to it so why would anybody take it seriously? It's reasonable of htem to think that way but the fact of the matter is
people do take it seriously.
I'm going to double down on the "they grew up in sane times" thing. You can say they were naive and lacked healthy skepticism but that's just a sad reminder of the overtone window's shift. What we call
healthy skepticism is something we had to develop by growing up in a low trust society filled with browns, commies, and trannies scamming and manipulating at every turn. boomers didn't have to develop skepticism because they grew up around white people with common core values. To them being kind, generous, non bigoted, etc. is great because
in the time they lived in that stuff worked, there weren't snakes constantly waiting to fuck you in the ass for letting your guard down.
TLDR: They group in a time with cultural cohesion which rewarded good behavior. We grew up in a time with no such thing and are aware how many people are willing to take advantage of kindness.
