I mean, what other excuse could there be? "This sketchbook does not allow me to draw centaurs" what the fuck does that even mean? She has to draw her centaurs in a very specific size and shape and position because she is copying a pre-existing picture. That's the only logical conclusion.

Draw a smaller centaur? Impossible.
Draw a centaur in a different pose? Impossible.
Turn the sketchbook sideways? Impossible.
