Based on the Stebbins cases and others, no, this doesn’t stop him from requesting IFP status in the future.
Like a docket entry in a previous case saying "Yes, I can afford it."
I hope everyone Russ sues in future gets a helpful email from Hardin informing them his IFP status was revoked

I would expect a late payment in conjunction with a motion to excuse his lateness
Those of us in da business call this "excusable neglect".
He won't pay because he will claim that filing a motion to "undo the things that he said directly to the Judge in the hearing constitute Excusable Neglect and he should not have to pay," will stay the order to pay.

He will then file another emergency motion after the deadline has past claiming yet more Excusable Neglect.
This man must be in da business.
Losing his IFP status is some high-quality retardation on its own, but the whole "phone storage" cope is baffling. Google Drive is free, a subscription for expanded storage is dirt cheap ($3/mo for 200GB), and these legal documents are relatively tiny in the context of digital storage. Even if something had to give... why would it be the sensitive legal documents? Surely whatever else he's saving to his cell phone (whatever the fuck it might be; who fills an entire phone's storage??) isn't as important as legal documents.
Oh, I assume Russ was either too lazy or malicious and drummed up a plausible excuse.

You'd imagine it'd be smarter to frame it as anything other than "phone storage" though. I'd completely believe it's true, considering it's Russell Greer, but it's all such a ridiculous concept. He basically highlighted that his own court records are so meaningless to him, that he doesn't bother doing anything with them outside of his phone.

he can afford it now, he may not be able to afford it later. the future lawyers will have their work cut out for them in the same manner this lolsuit did.
But it does give future litigants a basis to ask that the next court actually question and review his claims, rather than simply accepting what he claims at face value.

When Russ said "Yes" to "Can you afford to pay the $400?" I don't think he failed to connect the dots or zoned out, I think even Russell realized that if he lied to the judge's face when asked point blank, he'd be in some deep shit

When the judge asked if Russ could pay the $400 and maintain his support and he went silent for a while, I think the gears turning in his head were wondering if he should take the out, but then he thought that if he says no, the judge might say "OK, give us your latest bank statement and we'll see how much you make and how much your bills are and how much you have saved" and then he'd be on the hook for more sanctions or even criminal charges when it came out he could afford it, so he finally said "Yes" again.

he never had any intention of paying the fee and imo he still doesnt. he will try to weasel his way out of it. has there at any point in the history of this case been a single instance where russhole paid the court or hardin something? i dont think hes about to start.

This is my hunch as well, or something along these lines. Any time the court has ordered him to pay he has had to have his feet held to the fire in order to get him to pay up (Skordas). He will try his damndest to weasel out of it, and in the process likely fuck the whole thing for himself.
