I worry a bit about BG2 being themed the same with the same characters. That's a quick way to burn out the audience and the crew IMO. Too comfortable. Hopefully there are some big changes, ideally with a more cohesive theme. Cowboys in a fantasy situation is funny once but is tired now, they should just go full fantasy.

From pictures posted it seems to be medieval themed this time

Makes you wonder if there won’t be airsoft guns there for liability reasons this time. Remember when the vampires were complaining that Tais long barreled revolver hit too hard?

Either that of the Duke’s “no guns” spell is still in effect.

im sure they can find some safe bows and crossbows to shoot at each other

Honestly the sword fights are way better. Airsoft fights are difficult to watch, doubly so in fishtank quality

There are some pretty looking options, seems like a no-brainer

From what I've seen, if there are no guns it's for both these reasons. The airsoft guns they gave the fish last BG were springers which are known to hit hard, many fire at 400+ fps and they were shooting NPCs at very short range, sometimes no more than a couple of feet, and during the season I remember production/NPCs complaining about welts etc. Also, after BG was over, I remember someone in production (Jet?) talking about how it was hard to see the effects of guns on camera.

Finally finished the new episode, it was all over the place. Some good, some bad, some stuff that made no sense. They spent so much time on that stupid superhero challenge but the way they blitzed through Tay locking Fatty in the gooncave made my head spin. That was probably the best moment in all of Fishtank history and the fucking Youtube Short they made of it was better than what made it in the episode:

One of the things this episode did well a couple different times throughout was it came the closest yet to replicating how Fishtank feels, like as a live viewer. Some of the scenes where it held on the mundane moments or times where similar TTS was getting pumped through one after another as people are talking, that felt like how Fishtank feels when you're watching it live. I had forgotten how great that Tay/Fatty argument at the bar was. A lot of the good Greg stuff was cut out, like him punching Frank, the "give a thumbs up...if you hate the blacks and Jews" TTS and a lot of the bits of them convincing him to stay. That sucked, there was so much good stuff with Greg that just didn't make it. They really should have made this two episodes. When they brought production up to B2 that was completely unexplained and made no sense if you didn't already know the basement was flooded all season and they did it just to get away. Another part that really made me scratch my head was the night where Tay shaved her head and they made Trish cry over having to each Fatty's shit, the pacing and structure of that scene felt totally off like they just forgot to add some cuts, like it was incomplete. They just flew through it and if you blinked you'd miss Tay shaving her head. But Greg in particular got done dirty by this edit.

The ending segment with the liminal interviews was pretty good though, it was another one of those scenes that had that real Fishtank feeling. I don't even know if this was a good episode or not, it was so long and went down so many different trails it feels like I'm reviewing 3 episodes at once.

Gel Blasters have glow in the dark balls and light muzzle adapters that make them look cool in really low light, the issue with them is that I think they are all super high capacity and fire rate, so they are a balancing issue.

A common theme with people involved with editing Fishtank is that they don't seem to really understand why people enjoy and watch Fishtank. I literally don't even remember the Superhero challenge but I fucking loved fatty getting stuck in the gooncave and laughed my ass off at it. It was def one of the highlights of season 2 and of the series overall.

Greg's first night was my favorite part of S2 and what I was looking forward to the most with the edits and nearly all of it wasn't included. Disappointing to say the least. Honestly with the weird inclusions/non-inclusions and the slow release schedule I think they need a new editor.

They've been dogging Shinji the entire season by not including stuff he was involved in, even when they alread have it edited. This time its a joint Shinji-Greg clip. Shinji's entire time in the episodes is just commenting on stuff other fish did like a narrator and complaining that he wants to go home with the exception of the furniture stealing challenge.

I don't have clipping skills but Letty has been getting more and more fucked up in Thailand. Yesterday she was pissed at Chicken Andy for ditching her to fuck whores so she went from guy to guy flirting with them, then at the end of the stream started inhaling balloons of nitrous. Her voice got deeper and she started hallucinating, freaked out, and ended her stream.
