Modernity does not substitute actual coherent strategy, tactics and warmaking. The Sauds had all the latest American toys but still struggled to crush the Houthis.

In this case, the corruption and incompetence of the Indian Army is well known and the Pakistanis only escape scrutiny by virtue of being the underdog in this fight. I don't believe they're better anyway.

Sort of. India is very big and decentralized so you can't really speak in absolutes (except for shitting on the streets). There are decent units in the Indian armed forces but there is also a lot of extremely incompetent and poorly trained ones.

Just look at Indian equipment - they have Rafales, a shitty indigenous Rafale donutsteel, are training up a naval aviation branch, are going to be onboarding F-35s.... but they are also still flying combat sorties with goddamn MiG-21s. You don't even want to look at their armor.

I appreciate your optimisms for the integrity of this Happening.
I'm withdrawing interests for the most part, but I can probably standby at least for 2 more weeks if anything heats up.
