It's funny, you know. I was having a conversation today about how, in about a decade or so, when all this is over - as I strongly suspect it will be - it'll all just fade away and die out, and I feel like people will go out of their way to conspicuously never ever talk about any of this ever again. And how, a part of me is very tempted to buy up a load of this astroturfed 'queer' shit now, just so that I can have it, like a historical artefact of a time when everybody seemingly collectively took leave of their fucking senses, and throw it in people's faces that, no actually, grown adults did wear pronoun pins and did genuinely buy books for their primary age school age children called Grandad's Pride, which had beautiful colourful illustrations of men in gimp outfits.

It happened. It was all real. And you, hypothetical person that I am speaking to in the future, were actually all for it at the time.
Oh, I'm right there with you. I've thought about this extensively, partly because there's a handful of people on the periphery of my social circle that have really bought into this shit hard, and partly because I'm petty. I think the people that have pushed this the hardest due to their own fetishes/overcompensating for troon friends & family, etc will indeed try to memoryhole their involvement once it's died a death.
Fortunately, I have absolute terabytes of their embarrassing Twitter material screenshot, archived, and documented so that every time they try to scoff at the same lunacy they used to promote I'll show up like the world's most ornery poltergeist to remind them. Like the TERF version of that suffragette who used to follow Winston Churchill around like a hound with a bullhorn to annoy him:

"Hey asshole, remember that time you posted about how teenage girls who don't want to change with adult male sex offenders were bigots?? I do"
