You're saying what the problem is in the first place yet you are glossing over it for some reason:

If you become DSP then you inherit that and unless you're somehow brilliant at redeeming your image across the entire internet then when you leave your house or go to any convention there is a 99% chance Frank Hassle will turn up (he follows basically every detractor account) and you get all the rest of the dentractors doing shit to you. If you become DSP you don't get to automatically turn that shit off - you will inhibit his alien body, have his weird voice and his snorts but its debatable on whether or not you magically can stop his gambling addiction just because you want to.
You also miss the other point: the only reason he makes so much money is because he has a degenerate debilitating gambling addiction. He only begs so hard and gets so much money because of that addiction, its really not for any other reason. So if you stop being a gambling addict how do you keep up his insane amount of income? If you stop pigraging how do you keep the bullshit going?
Do you really think you become DSP and just turn into a hot 19 year old lesbian and do squats and people will donate happily after you've been a career scammer and con artist for like 20 fucking years?

I know you must be autistic, but I am clearly not talking about a genies wish that teleports you into the body of Phil Burnell, I am clearly saying that any normal person who was put in the same circumstances that phil was in when he began creating content, as a distinct different human, in the same time-frame with the same resources, Would be much better off. No you couldn't turn on OBS today and start streaming bugsnax and get an audience like phil has, but if you started streaming when he did, and got the opportunities that he did, you would be a millionare like so many other content creators from that era. Well maybe not you because you are almost as dented as he is, but a normal person.

Really? Do you know how many khantent creators just like DSP with the same opportunities ended up fucking broke? It's hard to get numbers on this sort of thing but I can almost guarantee there are more people who ended up broke & also burnt out after making khantent for 10 years plus.
You know what the edge cases are? Craig from ScrewAttack and people like Keemstar and you want to know why they made bank? Craig sold screwattack and Keemstar doesn't actually really make actual content and just makes drama content about other people (sort of like k-farms but in video format). He pioneered that shit.
How many once popular YouTubers have completely bitten the dust or just disappeared? fucking tons of them. And sure some of them make smart investments but most don't. It's the internet equivalent of moving to LA to become a famous actor. Do you know how many YouTubers got ripped off or fucked over by whatever contracts they signed and weren't aware of the implications of what they were signing?
I'm pretty sure that most of the success stories either spun out businesses that they sold, sold their channels or just got giant sponsorship deals (which aren't really an option for most YouTubers - selling shitty chinese white label gaymer chairs doesn't actually make that much money)

What separate DSP from other content creators of his time is just the insane amount of luck he got throughout his career.
And it isn't really luck if we're fair and more a question of timing and lack of other people on the market. But never seeing the consequence of his actions fucked him over longterm and I refuse to say he's successful, he's just lucky to have parasocial paypigs with deep pockets.
But you have to agree the timing of certain things is insane... like covid coming up just at the time of his bankruptcy or machinima keeping him around just cause every other of their talent got away.

Like I said in a previous post, he is a unique case because of his incredible timing and opportunities he had, that any non DSP would have been able to turn into a fortune, hell if you calculate all of the debt, and interest and wasted money on bullshit, and gacha spending the amount of money he has made in his "career" is probably shocking.

Probably like 99% with all of the big purchases he has said "got donated" over the years then it came out that he bought the shit. Recently I doubt he has used them but pre KC pretty dam likely he did.

The most shocking thing is that everyone knows he has a hardcore gambling/gacha addiction and wastes money on dumb shit yet he somehow still makes an income?
I would think that the usual order of things is that an internet celebrity goes broke, loses their wife, their home, their xbox gaypass and everything else and then makes some sort of "I fucked up"/generic YouTuber apology video. DSP still hasn't failed somehow and has basically openly admitted to having a giant gambling addiction. Not only that but he went to bankruptcy court, won against all odds and basically got away with bankruptcy fraud.
Maybe DSP's real achievement in all of this is somehow monetizing a disproportionately massive hatebase vs actual fans.

As someone who worked for the backend of Klarna but still had to deal with seeing all of their customer facing shit, he is 100% the target demographic for it along with black women who hoard wigs and people trying to buy shoes off of obviously scam websites.

With the amount of things Phil has bought on Amazon, it's 100% he's used Affirm at some point and is probably on hefty payment plans already. Phil admitted himself from his bankruptcy that he didn't learn a thing.

I think the bar is just set so low for DSP that it's considered surprising he's only sometimes dipped into the red, based on what we know from the bank leaks.
He's still more or less living from paycheck to paycheck which I think is in line with a lot of addicts. Sure, there are some who are addicted so severely they actually become homeless as a result, but you can have an addiction and still manage the bare minimum to keep your home and afford groceries.
But I think the biggest limiting factor is he really can't spend like he used to. Not because he's more responsible, but he's physically unable. Back in the day, Phil got into debt because he had a bunch of credit cards and just kept spending and spending. I fully believe he's had at least one or two credit cards for years since the bankruptcy, but I think they have much stricter limits on them so Phil can't just drop 10k of money he doesn't have in his account and rack up 250k in debt or whatever he was facing before the bankruptcy.
Phil is also largely driven by spite, which I think helps. Addicts aren't normally concerned about keeping their home to stick it to the detractors. I do think he's still building up some level of debt by overusing payment plans and the like, but I think his bankruptcy is keeping it from hitting Phil's previous overspending levels. It'll probably come back to bite him at some point, but I'm thinking like...a couple years in the future, not any time soon. And even then, it might be something Phil is able to weasel his way out of via pigroach luck.
