Jaron Seth Bloshinsky / Jazz Jennings / I Am Jazz - Puberty Blockers: Not Even Once

I have no doubt there were "suggestions" that they really ham it up, but to be fair, some of what he was eating was way outside the norm. Describing his "typical" morning breakfast as "a donut or two, then maybe two bagels".

And I seem to remember a dessert scene of similar 3-4x overkill. Forget starving himself, cutting back to a single delicious donut would remove a ton of unnecessary calories & sugar.

What's more of a mystery to me is why the ((producers)) would want to highlight this (his physical state reflecting his unhealthy mental state following his "essential care", and his "supportive, affirming" family mocking him).
Reality shows often push exaggerated narratives because they are more interesting/enertaining to the viewer. My 600lb Life is well know for exactly this. While the people on the show certainly overeat to get to that point, the producers film shots where the person makes 8 eggs, a dozen pancakes slathered in butter and syrup, and drinks an entire 2 liter soda for breakfast and this is portrayed as a daily occurrence. To even be on the show, you have to agree to shower naked and salivate over pizza so the audience can point and laugh at how huge you are.

It doesn't surprise me that when Jaron was struggling with his weight due to the daily drug cocktail he ingests and lifelong hormonal fuckery, the film crew pushed Jaron to eat fast food in his car and make him sit at the breakfast table with a ridiculous amount of food in front of him. Even if Jaron didn't want to, the pressure of his family and remaining on TV made it impossible to say no (much like the rest of Jaron's choices).

It makes it so hypocritical when Slobber goes on his "my body is perfect just the way it is" rants because deep down he does not think that. Being fat makes him ashamed which is why he keeps talking about it. He can justify himself pigging out and being lazy, but Jaron was expected to be strict & disciplined. Slobber, if every body is perfect as they are, why did your brother need to be poked, proded, and chopped up to be his true self?

Edit: spelling mistakes

They wanted to portray him as the spoiled JAP who always got “her” own way, to show how in control of the entire medical process he was, his poor family just want the best for him and were dragged into it don’t you know?! Since the transition was complete, they didn’t want to lose the viewer’s attention, so they had to come up with a different freak show. I don’t believe the show was ever really about educating the public on how “wonderful” it is to have a trans kid, it was supposed to be a circus from the get go. They probably also weren’t sympathetic to the family and wanted to show how awful they all are, which is why we have so many examples of Jeanette’s psychopathy. What amazes me is how much control Jeanette had over the show, especially in later seasons, and she didn’t question how it came across at all. The producers are not innocent by any means and are partly to blame for Jaron’s terrible situation, not to mention give other munchie mothers the same idea, but hopefully it made others realise how terrible it is to go down this path, and that blockers are not reversible.

It's even grosser that they made his obesity a comedy plotline.
Remember that episode where the 3 douchebags (aka his siblings) are playing volley ball on the beach and talking about how fat Jazz is and how he needs to be a part of that "Vision Square" project to get him back into shape? Ari and Griffen looked and acted like they didn't want to be a part of it, but Sander went full on in.

Ok this part I sort of buy: the show is definitely propaganda, but TPTB aren't dictating every plotline, and sometimes "entertainment" for entertainment's sake wins out. Regardless of the original intent, 6 or whatever years in you gotta keep those eyeballs.

I would dispute this part. Yes there were tons of people involved with different goals (political narrative, viewership, degeneracy, etc), but I guarantee this was greenlit by a gaggle of molestering activists and YAAAAsing progs with the explicit intent of "affirming" how great this is and encouraging more child castrati.

Didn't that ((producer)) who recently died have a resume centered around sexualized cross-dressing children? (Just checked: David St. John's other works include "Generation Drag", "The Ts Madison Experience", and "America's Next Top Model").

Yeah this show was MEANT to be propaganda about the wonders of becoming the "woman within" just like Sister Wives was supposed to show the wonders of polygamy.

In BOTH cases though they inadvertently through viewing reality showed everyone how being a trans and in a polygamous marriage SUCKS and SUCKS bad.

Ari and Griffin often look and act like this.

During the episode when Jazz freaks out over the graduation speech, only Sander is fully on the validation bandwagon. The other two were spiritually somewhere else. The hug was very much a "there there".

Honestly, any normal sibling would have reacted with a "get over it, faggot" before actually help, not making that stupid "family hug!" Kodak moment that nobody does.

I agree it's very performative, but Ari has surprised me too. I don't remember the episode super well but I remember that stupid buttered noodle fight seemed to be her doing. Jazz did seem to just be setting some aside and she snapped and bitchily announces "is anyone else eating right now?" and really tried to to embarrass Jazz. It might have been in the same episode, but valedictorian and Harvard grad Jazz asks if butter is a carb or something equally stupid and Ari just gives a "WTF lol??" look at the camera. Like he's your castrated brother, at least have a little pity.

That's because Ari would likely react like any normal sibling: "no, you fuck, it's not a carb". But they aren't allowed to act like this, they need to be super supportive and positive all the time, specially when Jazz is having a tantrum that they need to feature to show how sensitive and special he is.

Ari and Griffin are a bit more normal than the others, just like their dad. Jeanette, Jazz, and Shonda are basic idiots who live by whatever social media tells them to live. All what comes from their mouth is corpospeak that you find on social media, like when Jazz asked Ari to be his "nutrition buddy" and she was so close to laugh at his face.

I am absolutely here for the:

1. Religious bickering
a. Jewy bickering
b. New Age bickering
c. Wignat bickering
d. Deep soul bickering

2. Political bickering
a. Why are the dems like this?
b. Why do the republicans make it so easy for the dems to be like this?
c. Why do the dems make it so easy for the republicans to be like this?

3. Identity bickering
a. Who am I to say how Jazz should identify?
b. Who is Jazz to say how I should identify Jazz as identifying?
c. What is Jazz's deep soul?

But finally, I come down to this:

a. Castrated animals overeat
b. Castrated animals don't have any real interest in sex
c. Expecting a castrated animal to behave otherwise is unrealistic

Fucked up he started with long hair and is still ending up with the gross, in denial about balding, troon hairline in his early twenties.

His face is so obviously male. It's easy to imagine the ponytail wasn't there.

How long will he stay thin? You can bet that they never adressed the reason for him eating like a pig.
As long as he stays on the Ozempic. I don't have the exact* shot of all the medications he took back in the day, but I'm positive that he still takes all of them, if not more. While I don't think the interactions have anything to do with his hairline (look at his brothers), he'll have to stay on Ozempic for the rest of his life, for better or worse. They sure as hell won't address the real problems.

*Edit: not the one with the bottles, but you get the gist.

Imagine having 3 siblings and not one of them cracks a single joke about being the valedictorian of home school. I'm still skeptical that was even the case tbh, wouldn't be shocked if the speech (if not the entire ceremony) was all for TLC's benefit.

Whats wrong with his teeth/jaw? He looks like Tutankhamun's unwrapped mummy.
He’s a man, and twink death is creeping closer by the minute. Pure and simple.

He’s not on blockers anymore, so his true self is going to start shining through as those natal hormones get a foothold and really start working their magic- he’ll start bulking up on masculinity the way he bulked up on fat, and the results will be rough. Only, unlike with the fat that he was able to shed with the help of Ozempic, there’s nothing he can do to reverse his obvious manliness. Give it a little more time, and it’ll be like comparing Daisy Taylor at the start of his porn career to his ghoulish appearance nowadays.

And the sad part is, you can tell there’s a handsome guy underneath all that fakery. I think Jaron had the potential to be the best-looking out of all of the Bloshinsky sons. Maybe not an Adonis, but he would’ve been miles ahead of dough ball Griffen and aging-like-milk-in-the-sun Shanda. But, his sadistic cunt of a mother utterly destroyed him, and with that, the only chance for her and Greg to leave behind a dapper male heir. Good going, Jeanette!
