And people dealt with them directly by themselves, in creative ways. (Replying to a troll with a favorite recipe was one entertaining method.) Those were the days, alright. No Big Mommy Jannies distributing participation trophies and making everyone be kind™. When FaceBlot fired up there was a mass stampede to it from small single topic forums, kinda like how Big Box stores killed off the Mom & Pop joints the decade before. There were warnings about both, but most humans are very vulnerable to FOMO, especially if it there's "moar freedum" or "better value" on the other side.

I’m getting the beezie jeebies from socially transitioning. Im just afraid that this isn’t what I want and I’m just chronically online. I grew up in an EXTREMELY traditional and conservative family. I’m talking putting on a head covering at the age of FIVE, borderline cult like religion. Men are obviously upheld in my community, far more than women are which sent me into probably a dark age mentally when I was in my early teens. I just hated coming to terms that I was really a woman this whole time. I’d hear people refer to me with feminine pronouns and I’d legit freeze up and be shaken out of my head

I’m too young to afford gender therapy + it’s not even a thing here. I just keep telling myself “if you wish to be a man, then you are a man” (a quote from some website I don’t remember) but this pit in my stomach is eating at me
Giving up whatever privilege women have and not getting any male privilege at all.

The cult religion background is very often seen in the trans community.
A particularly awful example of getting out of a cult by switching to another cult.
Doubtless an exaggerated amount of male privilege in the cult.
Too bad she reached out to Reddit.

She doesn’t seem to realize though that if she was outed as a woman trying to be a man in that culture/cult, then she would almost certainly be murdered by way of honor killing.

The best she could expect is being forcibly married to a man in an even more rigid and misogynistic branch in a country which favors them.

Well some really are true believers, and some, their demographics still like that. I don't think you can deny most of the bigger brands, at least in the US, have stepped back though. Change takes time and it's only been increasingly socially acceptable at a good pace since January. Some don't know where the chips will lie. Some aren't sure what their consumers think. Some will have these campaigns in the pipeline for years and months and at this point it's sunk cost. Some will want angry engagement to boost them in the algorithm.

Why do some brands still use 70s or 80s aesthetics? Why do some use members only policies? Why do some think it's okay to sell deviant items to deviants? Why do some openly advertise smut and not behind closed doors? Why do some brands still advertise items that have been out of fashion or useless for years of decades?

They're run by people, and people and their opinions (and intelligence) exist on a very wide spectrum. Some of them also will be international companies who don't want to adapt just for the US market, especially with tarrifs making a huge dent in their margins already before they even market and package and develop for one outlier market.

There will be some 15 years down the line who still bang the drum. I think they'll become increasingly few and far between, though.

There hasn’t been a watershed event yet against gender idiocy yet. The TQ get top billing at pride festivals, usually at the expense of the lesbian community they’ve attempted to colonize via attacking the cotton ceiling.

And in practice, I agree with your marketing analysis. I’d suggest tho, that while some companies might go on the down low nationally, I suspect many will still micro target the alphabet, the same way suburu has done for years. Stealth.

It’s a surreal experience that behaviours exhibited haven’t peaked more people.

What they don't realize is that a woman (even an ugly or manly-looking woman) wearing the transgender merchandise is going to be assumed to be a pooner.
 
Is there a good way to talk to a child to try to get through to them to make them understand that what they're doing isnt going to work and they are going to regret it if they dont stop? pic rel is a child I spoke to in some server I joined and saw they had "♡ TransGirlie ~ <3" in their profile

You probably won't coax it out of them, but you'll find they have a very hard time elaborating what they mean by "always felt". They have that problem because they genuinely don't know what it means. How can they? They're imagining that they're something they have never been and have no experience with being. Their only concept is through observing others.

Was surprised to run into a child in the first place, if a child has decided they're "trans" their parents are obviously too negligent to be responsible. Furthermore it is my belief that children shouldn't be on the Internet and the government shouldn't try to lock down the Internet rather parents should be held responsible for what kids get up to like if they get groomed into this shit the parents should be locked up, create a culture of parents not wanting their children to be on the Internet for both of their sakes.

TTD but maybe i'll have left a seed of doubt in their mind about getting the surgery :optimistic: anyone saying "uhm why are you having a conversation with a child!" is acting in bad faith, this guy is probably surrounded by adults online who are constantly telling him he's a a woman, showing up and being the only voice of doubt can only potentially save as I have no other intentions.

That's a dumb kid that was successfully brainwashed. He doesn't even see himself as an individual with agency.
"If I decide to wait, the chances of me committing suicide are dangerously high." As if some mysterious force will enhance his suicide risk if he waits.
Fortunately he's only 16 so he has plenty of time to reverse course, especially now with how societal attitudes have shifted. Still, another excellent example of parents who failed to watch over their kid while giving them unrestricted Internet access.

That child doesn't even know why they're signing themselves up to do the things they are. They're just told "you were born this way and if you are born this way you do it and if you don't the chances that you kill yourself are super high!" You absolutely know somebody stupid or malicious put these ideas into their head because otherwise they wouldn't have the steadfast idea that they have to cut their genitals off as soon as possible before LITERAL DEPRESSION attacks. They're definitely stupid beyond their years though because who just up and calls somebody "oh darling" without being so full of shit that you're already certain of your path without knowing any of the steps on that path.

It's also really insane that enablers and groomers have convinced this child like many others that therapy is not only unnecessary, it's also impossible. There's no way that I can be anything but in the wrong body! How could I be? I feel like a woman after all. I have always felt like a woman. Can I describe what being a woman is or what that feeling actually entails? God what a bigoted question. You really just don't get it.

This little idiot has it backwards: Depression can result in gender dysphoria

Also if he was born dysphoric then no surgery can get rid of it.

I'd say this young man is too brainwashed and mentally ill to snap out of it. He will cut his dick off and 41% hinself. Also note how asking questions is making him uncomfortable while dick mutilation doesn't.
